I entered the Blaisdon 10k which started and finished at this fabulous pub. Great Real Ales, a delicious BBQ and a warm, friendly welcome to all. Chapeau!

We stopped here for lunch and it was lovely. The chap behind the bar was chatty and friendly and the waitress was super. The food was great, we both had a sandwich and they came with the most amazing chips! Will definitely be stopping here again!

I was honestly disappointed with my recent dining experience at this restaurant. After enjoying previous meals there, I found that the quality had diminished. I am relieved that this wasn't a special occasion, as I would have considered leaving when the starter was served. Ver carta

After a good walk with all the family this was a great pub to relax in and enjoy the lovely food. The menu is extensive has great vegetarian options, portions for children and is beautifully served. Great play area for children and outside tables. Highly recommend for Sunday lunch.

Wonderful local. Great pub grub, friendly staff and it’s obviously loved by the locals. It was freezing during our few days stay at the local B&B so it was lovely to walk in and sit by the wood burner. Would highly recommend. We didn’t book a table but it was busy so would recommend booking.

The overall experience at this restaurant was mediocre considering the price. The service stood out as exceptional, and my friend's fish dish was visually appealing and generous in portion. However, the practice of throwing cutlery on the table may not be appreciated by all diners. The curries were not recommended, and the beer selection was limited with no local options. The three beers I tried were indistinguishable from one another. Unfortunately, it seems that the decline in food quality is not unique to this establishment, as local culinary standards appear to have diminished this year. Ver carta

We had a brilliant evening here. The menu was different from the last time we visited and I ordered falafel to start and my partner had the crispy beef. Both were lovely, good portion sizes and well presented. The mains were very good. Belly pork and Mac and cheese. The max and cheese came with salad and garlic bread, both were lovely and the GB was homemade. My partner loved the pork, it was perfectly cooked. We had the rugby on so the atmosphere was great and all of the staff are lovely. Really happy to chat and interact suggesting nice drinks etc. Really would recommend and we are looking forward to coming back.

My mother celebrated her 90th birthday party at this restaurant. She chose to have a birthday tea and invited 23 friends and family members. Sharon and her staff were very attentive and accommodating, taking into consideration my mother's food preferences and seating arrangements. They even helped with decorating the venue with balloons and banners. Everything went smoothly and the tea was delicious. The sandwiches and scones were heavenly, and the individual cakes were particularly delightful. We also enjoyed scotch eggs and sausage rolls, all beautifully displayed on tiered cake stands. My daughter and I visited this pub a few months ago. We had heard that the food could be a bit of a hit-and-miss affair. However on this occasion we had a lovely meal. We met the proprietor who seemed a very pleasant chap. Last Sunday we went for lunch 7 of us. Well. Unfortunately, on this particular day it was definitely a miss. The Turkey was very good, but unfortunately a couple ordered roast beef which was tough and hard to eat. 1 person did not eat her meal at all. Roast potatoes were hard and the roast parsnips done to a crisp. A very tiny sausage in a small piece of bacon and a tiny round ball of stuffing was what constituted the trimmings.
