"My family and I came to this restaurant to have some food and drinks. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were informed that they were no longer serving food. I was denied a drink because I didn't have my ID with me, which I understood due to the Challenge 25 policy. We decided to leave as none of us could get food or drinks. As we were leaving, the manager insisted we pay for the drink she had poured, even though we had not touched it. We refused and left, feeling upset by the manager's rude behavior. It was a terrible experience, and we were very disappointed with the manager's attitude."

Great country pub in a lovely setting. Fabulous food, visited with friends to try out their Moroccan themed night, the whole experience was faultless.

This pub is fantastic with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us despite being very busy. The food was excellent too.

I was treated to brunch for an early Mother's Day celebration. I would highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for a relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. 10/10 rating.

The Red Lion has come on leaps and bounds. It has a great location, an excellent beer garden, atmospheric bar and consistently good food. A great local facility and well worth a trip to visit.

Visitied the Red Lion for the first time today, a really freindly pub, in extremely good order, had a light lunch with a friend, sensible prices, definitley be going back for lunch and will be trying out dinner

We visited this week for a celebration meal. One of us has a combination of food allergies. We mentioned this when we booked up and discussed on the evening when we ordered. It wasn’t a problem for the kitchen in the slightest. The meal was absolutely delicious, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. A great night out.

Our first visit here: warm greeting on arrival and good service. I recommend the whitebait starter as well as the squid. My steak was enjoyable, the peppercorn sauce packs a punch. The king prawn linguine was tasty too but the cheesy garlic bread was a little underwhelming. Do note they automatically include a 10% service charge. We’ll be back.

Three of us booked for our late Sunday dinner (3:30pm and the roast beef was delicious (cooked medium rare so tender with a whole jar of horseradish sauce (I love lashings of it finished the jar! ; excellent servings portions of vegetables a great roast chicken, accompanied by extra cauliflower cheese … food, ambience staff are all great thank you to all the staff at The Red Lion we will return

Excellent pub, very friendly and great food with decent local beer selection. Have been here a few times and never yet had a bad experience. Food is not fussy but well cooked and very much at the upper end of what to expect in a pub. I always take my teenage son or the family and it all gets eaten so can’t be too bad. Rebellion on tap is in good condition too, ales seem to be well looked after. Prices I would say are reasonable for the quality.
