"It all started positively when we booked a resto in Val D’Isère about two weeks in advance. When we arrived on time we were confronted with a rather fully packed small restaurant, where tables were small and installed with about in-between....Cosy sitting together was suddenly too cosy and very noisy, given the small space of the resto. Talking to each other became almost shouting at each other, at some tables. Our food (fondue savoyarde royale) was brought on time, tasting ok, and portions also ok. We left soon without taking coffees, because of the crowded and hot atmosphere. All of this would have led to a rating, but the real problem started two hours later, when both of us experienced a serious diarrhea, for the next hours. Since we had not eaten since we could only conclude that something was wrong with the food we had eaten. Maybe the cheese fondue had been prepared a bit too long in advance, and had been exposed to some bad bacteria (lysteria But the next morning everything was ok again. Finally, a rating "

very good and hearty dishes. We went on to advise on knowledge and we did not regret it.

Really rude receptionist that took the booking, really did set the tone for the whole experience. Pretty much summed up the whole experience.

Not the cheapest but really good food and its super busy as a result. Went twice for supper during a two week stay and they do bone marrow which I love... definitely would return

despite a busy Saturday night, and without reservation, the charming boss found us a table. melted menu with two for 20€, nothing to say. Meat also seems delicious. To recommend! Ver carta

we booked the same day and arrived on time for the first service. Unfortunately, it took several times to have menus, for ordering and waiting time for a very complicated dish normally (pierrade) took 40 minutes waiting. In the end it was very good and we left happy with this family meal but a more friendly and attentive service would have made the experience better.

we came on recommendation but were not delighted, it is correct but disappointed by the approximate service. attention almost all dishes are "specialties" served for 2 people minimum even if you choose, for example, "like a dish" which is served at the plate, so difficult to choose when you are an odd number. It's limit...For the appetizer, we have to guess what's proposed because if we ask, we'll be answered vaguely... Ver carta

The tables are pushed together so closely that you have to literally squeeze yourself out which means the whole place is so noisy you can’t have a conversation. The food is mediocre and it’s expensive. For a restaurant that describes itself as authentic Savoyard cooking...its tartiflette is the worst I’ve ever had. It just felt like they didn’t care if you had a nice meal so long as they got your money. Don’t go here if you want a friendly authentic French meal.

We go here every year on the chalet staff night off. Small, cosy place. It gets very busy very quickly and yes, it is a bit cramped chaotic for the first timers Don’t expect the staff to hang around your table and explain everything...that’s on the menu, they’re just too busy. It helps to have a look at the menu in advance and have a general idea of what you want before you sit down. My order is usually the same; snails, bread, steak chips, washed down with a beer and house red. I skip desert (because I’m stuffed by then) and finish the evening off with an Irish coffee or two. I haven’t been disappointed with this choice of food to date, and I’ve been here about times.
