A really good family meal. Nicely cooked veal and excellent cheese board. Very friendly and attentive service. Highly recommended

Having lived in France for Years really good fish and chips is one thing I miss. And chef Durkin exécutés it beautifully. Lovely thin batter, good quality fish and beautiful crispy chips. Really what more could you want Ver carta

We just ate the menu de jour at 29, Trout, pork belly and reconfigured Black Forest gateau and it was first class. Micheal and his team offer delicious food at reasonable prices and exceptional cuisine and service. If you’re visiting Saintes 29 is a must...go place.

I had tried to come to another, but it was back to work, not going. great disappointment. but she recommended the 29 and oh what a pleasure it was. great place to eat good and very good for kovidregs. I would recommend it even without hesitation...not cheap, but it's totally worth it.

We visit this restaurant for lunch often but last night had a superb dinner there with friends. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The service was flawless with both waiting staff very welcoming and friendly although still being very respectful and discreet. I...cannot recommend highly enough Ver carta

A small but great lunch menu. Thursday lunch with friends, we hadn't been to this restaurant before our friends had and after reading the reviews, I was keen to visit. The menu had 2 courses for each, starter, main, and dessert . A butternut velouté,...goats cheese with beetroot for starter. Guinea fowl with little veg. or sturgeon and little veg for mains. Creme brûlée or chocolate melt for dessert. The food was great quality, very tasty, and well presented. The service was good and the atmosphere very pleasant. Next time in Saintes give this restaurant a try.

would like to introduce a restaurant in france the English Sunday dinner into the French, then it should be a top knotch offer. that wasn't it. leathery instead of crispy roasts, no gravure with roasted, tiny meat portions, average yorkies (but also served with bubbly boar!? . the broccoli was excellent, carrots and papageien so. tepid eat. fish and chips were acceptable, but chips seem to be boiled. not a great advertising for Anglo-Saxon cuisine and not better than most ordinary pub offers. apéros, weine, amd desserts gut, coffee again tepid. website should make it clear that the Sunday midday menu is limited variety and this type of food.

We dropped on here by chance on a lunchtime walk-up. Situated slightly outside the city centre, close by the river and a convenient car park, it's a respite from the hustle of the city. The menu and the restaurant looked attractive, and you can dine...outside. The food was excellent entrées of cauliflower velouté and a fantastic beef cheek with foie gras; mains of mackerel and confit chicken both perfectly cooked and packed with hidden delights and flavours; I finished with a 'Bounty-style dessert' which was actually deliciously toasted coconut topped with dark, dark chocolate.
