Best food we had in Berlin so far and amazing service. Would recommand everyone to eat here. Clean place and a nice atmosphere.

Really lovely food and a charming little place. Food and service were both excellent, would highly recommend if you are in the area.

No cards accepted at this potentially good restaurant if it weren't for the poor and very rude service as if they were doing you a favour serving you average food at high prices. Ver carta

We had a great dinner in a friendly atmosphere. Server was friendly and explained the menu well in English. The food was plentiful and tasty. Also enjoyed sitting outside and talking to other diners. Recommend.

A number of us were in Berlin for two weeks on business, and found ourselves at the Berlinchen several times. The food was great (don't miss the Schweinhaxe), the beer was great, and our multi-lingual waiter was friendly and enthusiastic. Highly recommended.

I was here for dinner, and I accepted the personal suggestion to choose a plate outside the official menu: I had a brot with kartoffels and mushrooms. the food was good, but then the price was much higher than anything on the list, and even worse they only said at the end that they only accept cash, no credit card (although they brought the bill in an american Express folder. the most terrible! experience I had in Europe. we did not get any wise or information from the waiter in advance that there is cash-only (although there is a sign on the front door, but we sit outside and never had a matter. to see that) and we went to dinner without bank notes or physical card. at the payment, the waiter insisted on cash in a very particularly rude way without letting me say a word, and said F*CK u to me. I don't think it's the right way to offer a professional berliner restaurant. so terrible. the worst impression of the berlin city.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant to us and we ended up eating here twice. Do not be put off by it's rather bland appearance and what we perceived as a lack of atmosphere. The food on both evenings was very good and it provided an...excellent opportunity for our party of 5, to sample some local cuisine. By way of example I can strongly recommend the traditional Berlin Meatballs. I would suggest you book a table in advance and when doing so check that they will accept card payments. We were staying nearby at the Crown Plaza Hotel and were keen to eat at a local restaurant serving typical Berlin food. Although the restaurant was full the owner and his staff made sure we were welcomed and quickly seated. We were the only non...locals. The owner made helpful suggestions and ensured that during our five visits we tasted a number of different Berlin dishes. The menu on the web site is accurate. The Berlin beer served on tap added to our happiness. Sadly we don't speak German but the staff did their very best to overcome these difficulties.
