Restaurant Brasserie Johanniter

One of our favorites in Zurich. Classic Swiss dishes at reasonable prices. Beer and wine as well. Good service.

We came here for an early dinner. Service was friendly, there is an extensive menu with choices for all appetites. The food was good and the waiter recommended an excellent wine.

This restaurant had authentic Swiss food and the prices were quite reasonable. I was nearing the end of my trip and was a little tired of Swiss food, so perhaps I enjoyed it less than I could have!

I was with My family to dinner. I ordered rindfillet and give us that fillet with bad smell and adlle. I told to the chef But he affront us and told that we are full and because that we told this.Bad service. I don't recommand. The worst restaurant in Zürich .

The veal sausage or the pork sausage? It didn't matter. They stretched across the plate and I couldn't finish mine anyway. And the brown stuff (onions?) next to the traditional Swiss rosti... But the service was good and the beer was flowing. But, oh, the Swiss prices just for bangers 'n' mash...

For me Johanniter was on every trip to Zurich a must visit! You can still get, even in Zurich, very affordable delicious meals! Johanniter delivers quality food and very quick service and all for great value for money! Many visitors from Asia I've brought there over the years. There pork liver and Rösti is wonderful! You will not regret! Enjoy!

Eight family and friends spent three days in Zurich. We went to several restaurants in the area and this was by far the best food and service. Our waiter was from start to finish top shelf. He answered questions, helped with menu decisions and took pictures. My husband and I had the chicken with pepper sauce and spatzle. Awesome!!!! The prices were reasonable. I wished we had found this restaurant earlier.

We arrived in Zurich today, excited to explore the city and try local authentic Swiss food. However, we noticed when we walked in the staff saw us but treated us like we were invisible. We waited a few minutes until a male server pointed to seats near the corner. The table wasn't cleared yet but we patiently waited. We waited for more than 5 minutes, and still no one came to clean the tables or serve us. No menus were even provided! When we went to get the menus ourselves, the middle aged female server yelled at us in native language. We assumed she said why we were sitting at a dirty table. when we tried to explain that a male server told us to sit there, she waved her hand at us. Disgustin...

First... the Swiss people in Zurich were extremely nice AND helpful. My wife and I traveled there in March as part of our 30th wedding anniversary celebration. The hotel we stayed at was walking distance to the "old town" area where there's a lot to do. There's plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from... and it was dinner time and we wanted something Swiss and a beer!!It was suppose to be an easy walk from our hotel to this area... but we got lost. (what else is new) That was ok because we remembered to bring our map with us (a gift form the hotel)...
