I love it. The servers are amazing and consider what I am from Serbia, I must tell you that food is amazing!! Five.

We come to Essen once a year, and we always come to Balkan-hof. It's surprisingly cheap and you get large portions. I get the onion soup and the Balkan Platter.

The hotel is 200 metres from the hotel. So glad we found it, The food was fantastic, all absolutely delicious. Quality food. Excellent cook, thank you. Large portions and very cheap. Nice atmosphere too. Very recommended to eat here. Ver carta

we were at the balkanhof yesterday for the first time and can claim that it was very good and also very good. the waiters are easy to foot with the guests and very attentive. No one had to wait longer for drinks. the whole ambient light is true. we weren't here for the last time and would like to come back.

I can speak for both my whole family and for my friendly and well-known circle when I say that this restaurant is one of the best we have ever visited in Balkan restaurants. many thanks for the great hospitality and also for the attention that was given to us. we will come back, and we will soon be definitiv.

very good restaurant well located on one of the central roads of eating city. very easy to find it when they are part in the city central to foot. the owner was very friendly and the whole food was exellent. During my stay in Essen I found out this wonderful plays in the city center . Well the food is as you will experience in Serbia or Croatia or Bosnia same taste same way to be served ! Prices are very reasonable . You...will get a sting from the house at the end ! Would recommend it ! Don’t miss it once in Essen and looking for a good restaurant in the center .

Nostalgic for the Yugoslav food I used to eat in Germany, I tracked this restaurant down and was not disappointed: they had spent a lot of money on refurbishing it some years ago, and the result is stunning. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful;...I chose an old friend Cevapcici, and it was cooked specially with my preference for fried onions rather than raw.

This is a balkan-style restaurant serving mostly German food. The menu was not as adapated as the theme and name suggested. Was it a culinary experience? Not really. It was a schnitzel, and neither the worst nor the best I had. But the slivovice was...served warm, and was delicious. Go there if you like slivovice. Otherwise well, it's a place to eat. Not bad by any means, but nothing to write home about either. Ver carta
