"After going to a few restaurants that locals seemed to frequent, Ristorante Rustico was the first and only "touristy" spot I went to, due to the high ratings, which was a BIG MISTAKE. The service here was just ok. The food was also just ok, compared to food in the city away from touristy areas. When compared to pasta in the US, it was good, but when comparing to the quality of European food, it was just average.Food: After reading all these good reviews about the truffle pasta, I decided to try it for myself. All I can say is that it's not worth it. You basically get a sharp cheese pasta with truffles. Because the scent of the cheese is so overpowering, you can't smell the truffles. It was like eating cheese pasta with decorations of truffles on top. For me, I don't see the point of getting truffles unless you can actually smell it. It wasn't worth dishing out 18-19 euros because of that very reason. And for some, the pasta might be bland. I was ok with the blandness of the pasta because I could really smell the cheese. Again, what disappointed me was that I could hardly find the scent of the truffles.Service:I thought the service was average to below average in that I felt a bit deceived, twice.First of all, when you're ordering your beverage, if there's different sizes, you need to make very certain that what they put down is the size you want. I pointed to what I wanted and even then, they got the wrong size, which I found out after receiving the bill (I got juice, which was poured in a glass so it was difficult for me to tell what I got because unfortunately I don't think in liters).I probably wouldn't have felt as deceived if the waiters at other restaurants I've been to also made the same "mistake", but the waiters at those places always made sure to confirm our orders.Another thing is that when you receive your bill, the 10% tip is added to total. That's something I didn't notice because I unfortunately happened to gloss over it, thinking it was tax. When I paid with credit card, there was a tip line on the receipt, so I happened to accidentally tip again because I didn't notice that the tip was already included in the bill. I only realized it when my friend noticed and asked to take it off.I didn't mind paying the 10% automatic tip, but I didn't think the service was deserving of that. This one restaurant I went to the day before gave excellent service and when I paid with credit card, he warned me that what I was punching into the credit card machine wasn't the total, but was tip (the credit card machine had german text, so the waiter was just making sure I understood what I was doing). That waiter got more than 10% tip due to how helpful he was. The waiters at Ristorante Rustico were not that engaging or helpful, and I just felt like a deceived tourist, but it was a good lessons learned.Summary:If you don't care that you're in a touristy restaurant, go here. If you care about food and don't mind venturing off away from the touristy area for good food, this is not the place to be. You'll find better service and better food elsewhere."

Had a very nice couples dinner just off the main tourist square. A bit of an event mixing the Parmesan cheese and fresh pasta in a huge wheel of Parmesan - but it was excellent. As was the wine and dessert. Ver carta

A lovely cosy atmosphere with tasty food. The walls were decorated with paintings which gives it a real homely look. We had speedy service with polite waiters. The drinks were high quality. The little girl, Scarlet, thoroughly enjoyed her pizza and delighted in giving the waiters a tip. It is situated in a perfect place with shops and other sights not too far away.

Family run with warm atmosphere Sicilian family and one of the best Italian restaurants anywhere including italy.They take their food preparation and ingredients very seriously and with great pride.Linguini truffle prepared in the Parmesan wheel not be missed. Excellent sea bass.Superb Truffles Filet .These are only but few of their excellent menus.Reservation is a must for dinner.

Stayed there for diner with a friend while walking by. Nice location on the street in summertime. The menu offers various options, we had steak and some pasta. Food wasn't really bad, but it wasn't good either. My steak was more done than medium rare and the pasta has been far away from beeing delicious. In total diner was ok, maybe a bit boring. During a one-night Sunday stay in Frankfurt I was amazed that most of the highly rated TripAdvisor restaurants were closed on Sundays. Finally decided to go to Rustico, a $12 Euro cab ride from my hotel -- It was well worth the expense.I started with the Mozzarella Caprese salad while my colleague had the fried calamari; both were excellent choices. We went on to the race of lamb for me and the beef tenderloin special for him -- also excellent.To accompany the order we choose a bottle of Chianti.Upon my return to Frankfurt this week I will return also to Rustico.

So after walking around a bit and watching over a menues we decided to go here. We ordered an anti-pasti plate as a starter which was good (look at picture). I would have wanted more of the carpaccio because that's something I love.I ordered the tortellini chef and it was amazing! Might be the best one I ever tasted. A big plus is that they give you an pot with parmesan cheese so you can decide yourself if you need more. My boyfriend ordered the truffle pasta and he liked it too. Overall the wine and our aperol soritz were all good.
