We were here for a breakfast today and I must say: It‘s an amazing place to eat! The personell is very kind. The meals are fresh and delicious. The ambience is modern and classical together. Very recommended! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

During my vacation, I made a quick stop in Helensburgh and chose Riva for lunch. It turned out to be a great choice! The soup and artisan bread were delightful, and the warm smoked salmon bun with chips was reminiscent of the meals my mom used to make. I would definitely recommend this place. When I went to the bar to request another beer and inquire about dessert, the staff—a curly-haired guy who looked Spanish and a brunette woman in a long green dress and high heels—told me that the kitchen might be closed but that they would check for us. Unfortunately, they never followed up. It's disappointing that the quality of service dipped after our initial server left, as the food was good but the inconsistency in service left us feeling uncertain about the overall experience.

We are frequent visitors to Riva, but unfortunately, our latest experience was disappointing. The menu has been narrowed down, and they no longer offer Lasagne. I ordered a chicken starter as my main dish, but they ran out of that as well. I ended up selecting a burger instead, which was decent, but I wouldn’t choose it again. My partner ordered the Diavolo Pizza, but received a different pizza instead. They were also out of Grouse whisky and other blended whiskies, and they didn’t have my usual wine. It’s safe to say we won’t be hurrying back anytime soon. Service: Dine in.

I was served by a tall, dark-haired girl who I believe must be the manager; if she isn’t, she certainly should be because her service was exceptional. On the other hand, the guy at the bar, who resembled Ed Sheeran, was quite unfriendly and distant. We would have felt unwelcome if it weren't for the waitress, who worked hard to make us feel at home. She was constantly moving around to ensure all of us were taken care of, seemingly compensating for the lack of effort from the rest of the staff. I was really impressed by her ability to manage the place almost single-handedly. The food was great, but there seemed to be a lack of leadership on the floor.
