"after reading the so-called "hyrambican" reviews, we finally decided to book at max. booking is recommended because it is popular. we walked from the city center, which is a pleasant walk on the other side of the river. this restaurant is so French about 20 years ago! it's a little chaotic, pressed but still seems to be a wait just for food! food concentrates on good quality ingredients, simply prepared. the restaurant is a little strait, extremely hot (no air conditioning just a fan on foot) and very dated. waitresses are a little maussad but the boss has quite the character. We could be forgiven to think that you were on the plateau of some British sitcom. food was perfectly usable but offered nothing special for the price, which is quite reasonable. The pork is served to the French tastes (said link - I'm sorry but we had to send it back so that it was cooked a little longer!) and I was brought the wrong dish but I was happy to have it rather than finish eating separately to the rest of the group. the dessert of the floating island was a delight and the cheese tray was something else - true French cheese - it was a strong moment and very generous portions were served. is worth the detour for the experience!"

"I found this juwel of a restaurant on the fork and was made by the great offer (50% from the a la carte menu tempted) of all the menus I saw in epernay when I looked for a restaurant to book at our last night, this was the best! great choice to choose from us, went for the escargots (picture) and the carpaccio of the bark cream brûlées and cafe creams to finish the meal perfectly! the chef even came out to welcome us and to speak through the menu, this is a really nice restaurant that was full of locals that it says everything. absolutely no one to miss when in epernay!"

"They have a good breakfast with a baguette, butter, jam, orange juice, a hot drink and a croissant or a chocolate croissant for less than 6 euros. All were delicious. they also have excellent gourmet tea - kusmi. you can also buy bulk leaves or kusmi tea bags to take away (what we have done - I love this tea, and it is cheaper in france than elsewhere in europe.)"
