"hallo Together, recently I visited the sandbar along with a friend and was very positiw. first of all to the ambiente: the restaurant and bar area is comfortably furnished and designed with pleasant colors. a great place for me is the sitting corner in front of the sandbar in the pedestrian zone. there you can sit relaxed in the sun and enjoy eating. The location in aschaffenburgs inner city with walking distance to the castle johannisburg (approx. 5-10min, st. Peter and Alexander (less than 5 min) and the park Schöntal (1-2min) to name just some of the sights, makes the sandbar a great place for lunch or dinner. the personal is friendly and offers a commendable service! this applies especially to people with more specific eating requirements (gluten-free, lactose intolerance or just vegan or the like). in such cases there is a second menu where the individual specialties are listed. in the case of doubt, there are competent consultations by the staff, so that eating here is also in good memory. so the guest will not be slain by the choice and one may expect a reasonable quality of the food.I will definitely go to eat again here.Ciao michael"

I have eaten very well several times here. there is a large vegetarian-friendly selection (flame cake, suppen, oriental dishes, various snacks). and a changing weekly map, on which you can always find something special. the curry banana soup was a real highlight! the price-performance ratio is also very praised.

unfortunately not what we had hoped for after the reviews. everything somewhat untreated, table runners dirty, glass crug with greenish water and a herb in what belonged in the müll. burned tee lights. this continued on the toilet, because it just smelled eclig after urin. Also in an older toilet you can care for good smell. eating was okay, but not anymore.

that was nix.About the nasty of the service that has poured over to me and my accompaniment the wine and the water, it has apologised enough, from the bill nix, I must say, was the eating out of the kartoffel soup that has tasted, was the oriental salate and the asianudel maximum convenience food! unfortunately, and, all three at the same time. in my understanding, a suppe is an appetizer and does not require extra formulating. No, I can't recommend the sandbar.

after the google search "vegan aschaffenburg" and also after the positive evaluations here we entered on a Thursday evening the very empty restaurant. one of the two ladies rushed to us in the service and asked what we wanted to drink. we asked for something geduld, we wanted to choose the food first. for this we have been punished from now on with no consideration. the service cassed at the side table, brought the card to another table, but we were no longer considered. until we left after 10 minutes. no wonder that with such a bad service the load was so empty in the evening.

"The restaurant of the Landhotel Klingerhof two miles away, our base, was closed and the receptionist recommended the Old Church in nearby Haibach, a pretty village in the valley below. It was almost full, and that at 7pm on a Sunday evening - a good sign! The place looked quite authentic, an impression re-inforced by the realisation that many locals were eating there. A friendly young waitress brought us a quite extensive menu in German only and we opted for a carafe of what we were told was a dry white housewine at a moderate price whilst we perused it. Neither of us found the wine dry and it was exchanged for another one without fuss, this time dry. I opted for the onion soup. My wife wanted a small tuna salad as a starter and sensibly suggested we should order our main course later, having seen the size of portions on other tables. My steaming soup arrived first, served in a big bowl; just as well it was so hot that I had to wait because it took some time for her salad to arrive. A starter salad? It was enormous, very fresh and delicious!Outgoing diners had to pass our table and we noticed that nearly all had a ‘doggy bag’ – it seemed to be taken for granted that most would be defeated by the amount of food and cardboard boxes to take uneaten food home were provided as if it was a matter of course. Our first course would have been enough but I felt a bit guilty, ordered some more wine, then agreed with my wife that we would order a Wiener Schnitzel (her choice) to be shared between us. A large plate with two schnitzels, French fries and salad arrived. We just could not do the contents justice (the food tasted fine!) and managed to eat just about a quarter between us. I had to explain to the waitress that there was nothing wrong with the food – on the contrary – and she immediately asked if we wanted a box to take the rest with us, an offer we declined. For two sizable first courses, basket of bread, a gigantic main course and ¾ litres of a very acceptable house wine the bill came to 34 Euros!...This was quantity paired with quality at a give-away price!"
