"I came here with my son and we ordered a pizza. When we sat down no one offered a drink or bread. I had to call the waiter every time who had more than an arrogant attitude towards us. I asked to add an egg on top which my son loves. The egg came .. raw! Even the white was raw. I asked to cook it a bit more and they refused. So I had to ask for another plate and take it off the pizza. This was disgusting. At the end of our dinner, while I just wanted to leave quietly without giving comments, the waiter came to me and started explaining that everywhere in France and Italy the pizza is always served with a raw egg. Like if I never saw how pizza looks like before. Obviously, no one apologized. I saw him serving the others. Not impressive either. Definitely the place to avoid."

The other half adores the mussels and clams in arrabiata sauce, which although it's a starter seems to work as a main course.I find the filleto di manzo in green pepper sauce difficult to avoid.Probably eaten here 5-6 times over 3 years and consistently good. Much better prices than Monaco itself.

I go there at lunch during the working days, for this is a good solution in Monaco. they are VERY kind and food is always simple and good. you cannot be wrong. I can recommend if you want to have a familiar quiet place to have lunch without the chaos and not having an overpriced lunch. No specialities but all what is offered is good and you cannot be wrong

Don't let the 1970's exterior stop you from entering this fabulous restaurant. Then go straight to the veranda where you will be very pleasantly surprised by your surroundings. Menu excellent and very reasonably priced including their wine list. Food quality and presentation is fantastic. Add to this the fabulous service and an excellent experience awaits you!

The food is actually ok, but if there are more than four other people eating in the establishment, you will have to wait hours for it to arrive. The biggest frustration is how impossibly inefficient the staff are. As a rough guide, it will take 30 minutes for a drink to arrive, over an hour for a salad and a main course can take anything up to two hours. If you are amused by watching complete incompetence, it would be worth having a light supper and then going to this place just to marvel at how pathetically disappointing the service is. If you are actually wanting to eat food, I would avoid it.

Whilst staying at the neighbouring hotel we followed the reception's recommendation and were not disappointed. The calamari was cooked to perfection, with such a light color that the grease for frying was obviously kept very clean - quite a rarity! The texture was absolutely perfect - not chewy at all. The penne arrabiata tasted of fresh ingredients and was a large portion. The house wine was perfectly fine for us. The waiter, Vincente, was so good we decided to return the following night. The pizza was simple and tasty...and the tiramisu best I have had in YEARS. Will visit every time we go to Monaco. Oh, the prices...amazing for this part of the world!

I ate here with friends one of whom brought his dog which was allowed to sit on a chair at the head of the table and the waiter even gave him a napkin and tucked it into his collar! The dog was very well behaved. The salads to start were fresh and generous. We each had a different main course which we enjoyed. I had Risotto Gamberetti with Asparagus which was very nice. Not outstanding, but good eating. We also polished off a carafe of house red which was very good.Desserts offered a less extensive choice. My friends enjoyed their Meringue ice-cream cake whilst I had creme brulee with a very tart citron custard which i was not expecting - I prefer vanilla.Still, in Monaco it was a good evenin...

"Casarella used to be a Corsican restaurant. It is located in the old Roquebrune village and is a quiet and nice location, although not accessible by car.It has been sold a few months ago, and has reincarnated itself in an Italian restaurant, more precisely Neapolitan.I decided to give it a try after a friend's advice.Being an Italian, I am often wary of Italian restaurants abroad, but I went along and gave it a try. What I found was a typical Neapolitan menu, with the addition of a few other Italian classics (carbonara, pesto). We tried several things and were surprised by the quality. The pasta was impeccably cooked, the sauces were made with the best Neapolitan tomatoes, the grilled mozzarella was fresh.Even the carbonara, although not a Neapolitan dish, was faultless. We then carried on trying the meatballs (polpette), and found them to be exquisite. We then tried a Pastiera Napoletana which is a difficult dessert to prepare, and one of my favorites. It was perfectly executed. We were then offered a limoncello (lemon based sweet liquor) and found it thick enough to be the real thing, and not a usual washed out imitation.Prices were more than reasonable and quality and service were faultless. The wine list was quite correct and the wines are listed at reasonable prices.Congratulations to the chef and the team for what they did. It is not easy to open a restaurant in a medieval village: cars cannot access it, it is difficult to carry groceries and to receive deliveries. They were courageous to open in such a location, and in my book, they deserve the praise."
