"we visited today with 5 people and dog after a hike of this restaurant (shadow reserved). we had taken our places. my wife asked for water for the dog (must drink a lot). the testimony of the insults: we don't have it, they have to get out, stand a bowl. the cup stands outside in the beer garden and it was dark. my wife asked for light after 3 times repetition when there is no light, the coworker or junior of the host family short with the handy lamp and then disappeared again. my wife was then understandably not exactly friendly in the comments. this person came into the dining room and cried: who is this woman and the dog? I don't have to get rid of a hospitable polite I told myself that this woman with dog belongs to me and our group. then, followed by vicious like: this **** should frighten etc. my answer is now also acidified to ask who here the **** is of this man the message they are coming with the hitler or something similar. we will then leave and will never enter or recommend this locality with this pächter. this is the lowest drawer. I'd guess animal friends from this restaurant. that has never happened to everyone present. you are not like a host!"

eat well, service friendly, the whole time ordered 3 times drinks and nothing is a pity. other guests, unfortunately, are just in the meantime as they were not taken into account. better organization and more professional staff would be helpful

we have been to eat in august since the new opening already some paints in the scald mill and are fully enthusiastic! great ambiente on three etagens and a beautiful beer garden. Unfortunately, there are still many negative assessments that affect its predecessors, which is why it is difficult to work up the old burdens. I can only recommend the restaurant absolutely positiw!

we have been there 3 times since the takeover of the present pächter. the food was super tasty and plentiful (Brusccetta al pomodoro, spaghetti allo scollio , tirami su,) the service very attentive and the entire ambiente very appealing. we feel very comfortable there and will certainly still look past there many times. 1000 times better than the previous one. il mulino we can only recommend!

"The restaurant of the Landhotel Klingerhof two miles away, our base, was closed and the receptionist recommended the Old Church in nearby Haibach, a pretty village in the valley below. It was almost full, and that at 7pm on a Sunday evening - a good sign! The place looked quite authentic, an impression re-inforced by the realisation that many locals were eating there. A friendly young waitress brought us a quite extensive menu in German only and we opted for a carafe of what we were told was a dry white housewine at a moderate price whilst we perused it. Neither of us found the wine dry and it was exchanged for another one without fuss, this time dry. I opted for the onion soup. My wife wanted a small tuna salad as a starter and sensibly suggested we should order our main course later, having seen the size of portions on other tables. My steaming soup arrived first, served in a big bowl; just as well it was so hot that I had to wait because it took some time for her salad to arrive. A starter salad? It was enormous, very fresh and delicious!Outgoing diners had to pass our table and we noticed that nearly all had a ‘doggy bag’ – it seemed to be taken for granted that most would be defeated by the amount of food and cardboard boxes to take uneaten food home were provided as if it was a matter of course. Our first course would have been enough but I felt a bit guilty, ordered some more wine, then agreed with my wife that we would order a Wiener Schnitzel (her choice) to be shared between us. A large plate with two schnitzels, French fries and salad arrived. We just could not do the contents justice (the food tasted fine!) and managed to eat just about a quarter between us. I had to explain to the waitress that there was nothing wrong with the food – on the contrary – and she immediately asked if we wanted a box to take the rest with us, an offer we declined. For two sizable first courses, basket of bread, a gigantic main course and ¾ litres of a very acceptable house wine the bill came to 34 Euros!...This was quantity paired with quality at a give-away price!"
