"Funny this place hasn't been noticed too much so far. The other restaurant perhaps it's branch on Ditchling road that has the same name has got nasty reviews, but this is for the one on Queen's Road near the station. It's only based...on one visit when I tried the Chicken Sweet Corn Soup and Dry Ribs in Hot Chili Sauce. Both were very good i.e. soup was freshly made and tasted good especially with some chili sauce added, the ribs were very tasty although I'd like the ribs to be a notch spicier, but if you're not used to spicier food you might find it very hot. Szechuan cuisine can be very, very hot is quite a bit different from the Cantonese Chinese food that is more prevalent. Service can be slow if the there are say more than customers sitting in at the same time because it looks like they have only one Chef in the Kitchen. The good news is that he's from Szechuan. Staff are friendly and courteous so I had no issues. It was nice to see the owner's children and wife sit down and eat there at the restaurant although they were eating something that looked very healthy like raw vegetables that stew in a hot pot on the table stuff I generally avoid. Ambiance is basic with some nice red Chinese lamps hanging around, but I guess that's pretty typical of Chinese restaurants. Nothing to complain about. The food really was good and I'm giving them a on grounds of taste, freshness and pleasant staff. If you're fussy about speed then you may rate them differently. I paid about in total for my meal: NOTE boiled rice is extra and you may order as much as you can eat for and there is a service charge added to the bill. I did not drink anything since I generally prefer LOTS of tap water when I'm eating spicy food. Frankly, I'm very curious about why people order bottled water in a place like the UK where the tap water is most likely better."

we ordered the Chinese hotpot, in contrast to other places for hotpot, they in the round everything charged. we spent pfund per head for a basic hotpot meal, very disappointed!

we had this kitchen before and essentially they need to know what they do (if they have the big bowl suppenstock.) it is expensive and not all that fill, but a good experience. it is our own fault not to read the beverage menu. but they calculate a bottle of budweiser. absolutely tear.

The restaurant was beautiful and affordable, and the food was fantastic. There was a good selection and the portions were well-sized. The flavors were rich and delicious, though some dishes were a bit spicy for my taste. It's a lovely place to try something new. The lamb Peking duck style was delicious and tender, I couldn't stop eating it. The staff was polite and friendly, making it the best budget-friendly meal I've ever had.

We went here on a Saturday night the restaurant was fairly busy. The staff were very friendly but we ordered starters got the duck which was warm not how duck should arrive on the bone especially for for a quarter. We...ordered a soup which arrived with the main course one of the main courses dishes did not arrive even after we asked several times so we gave up with that dish. The food was flavoured with lots of pepper chillies very average. The drinks were warm overall a very disappointing meal.

The restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Friday night which should have warned us really! The service was very slow and the staff found it very hard to understand what we were ordering even when pointing to the chinese translation in the menu. Once the...food arrived we were really unimpressed. The rice was clearly nuked in the microwave and the chicken was slimy. In addition, we ordred duck pancakes, the pancakes arrived and fifteen minutes later the rest still hadnt. When we asked the waitress was very confused and said that we only ordered pancakes?! Who orders just pancakes? It was a shame as the decor in the restaurant was very mice and the drinks were reasonable but the food just wa...

On a chilly day, I was in the mood for something warm and comforting. After passing by this restaurant a few times, I decided to give it a go and I was not disappointed. I ordered the salmon fish head tofu soup and a plate of stir-fried pork with green peppers. It was the most satisfying meal I've had during my five-day stay in Brighton. The food at this Chinese restaurant wasn't greasy or overly salty, which was a pleasant surprise. The soup was flavorful with a hint of salmon, the pork was tender, and the green peppers added just the right amount of spice. Pairing it with piping hot rice was perfect. My only complaint was that they charged extra for a bowl of rice, which I assumed was free...
