Great wee restaurant. Food is reasonably priced ,and is spot on , the service is top notch and it has a great atmosphere. Definitely one to try.

The food was outstanding and incredibly good value for money. This is real city-centre quality and as good as anything I have had in Glasgow or London Service from for young staff was professional and first class. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere in a comfortable room.

Popped in quickly while in the area and didn’t know what to expect although the reviews were good . Nice location and warm welcome by the staff. Prompt service and the food was very nice. If you are over 6 ft 1 you might have a problem going to the toilet with the low ceiling but nonetheless, walked away happy with my visit

Went for dinner on Saturday night at 17.00hrs , we had the set menu that is £25 for 2 courses or £30 for 3. Atmosphere is very nice not too noisy and cosy with candles on the table. Staff are very pleasant and helpful Quick service with the meals despite the restaurant being busy. We both had main courses and dessert all meals were delicious,could not fault anything. Visited Smith's in November for a family birthday celebration lunch and just like our first visit we had a super time! The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully and professionally presented and ideal portion sizes. The team on duty were also just as friendly, helpful and professional as they were during our previous visit plus the atmosphere in the restaurant was very warm, welcoming and relaxed. Pretty perfect in every way, really. Can't wait for another excuse to return. Thank you Team Smith's. You are stars!

I’ll start at the end because it really stuck in my mind. In all the restaurants I’ve dined in, I’ve never been given a gluten free biscuit with my after dinner cappuccino! As a coeliac, requiring gluten free food it meant such a lot. Going back to the experience, we were welcomed with 2 normal menus and 2 gluten free menus as requested when we made the booking. The gluten free menus were pretty much identical to the normal menu which was fantastic. I had the parfait and then the rib eye. The food, service and ambiance was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed spending a few hours on a Sunday afternoon in this charming little restaurant.

What a fabulous restaurant! The menu was comprehensive, the food was delicious, the service fantastic and the price exceptionally reasonable. We had birthday lunch with my father for his 80th birthday. We ate from the fixed-price lunch menu £20 for two courses, £25 for three) and all four of us cleared our plates of all three courses. It was absolutely delicious, faultlessly cooked from quality ingredients and beautifully presented. The staff could not do enough for us. They made a fuss of my father, printed out a special menu wishing him a happy birthday, and gladly took our cake and produced it with our coffee. It was much appreciated.
