St Vincent Arms - Carta

We were met with a very warm welcome, a good choice of food on the menu, I had a steak sandwich with blue cheese sauce which was excellent, washed down with a gluten free Beer. A happy man.

Why do so many placed find it so difficult to do a Sunday Roast nowadays. It seems so many are cutting corners with bought in food etc. Thankfully, this place is just consistently great. Delicious Sunday roast, home made Yorkshire Puddings, fab beef and roasties and lovely service.

We stayed in the area for Christmas and decided to have dinner at this restaurant. Our party had 13 people, including children and two infants. The service was outstanding, our food and drinks were served quickly. The portions were large, delicious, and served hot. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Ver carta

The food at this restaurant is fantastic. We couldn't find any faults in any of the dishes. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The pub/restaurant is clean and cozy. The following day, we were talking to a local woman and mentioned how delicious the food was there. She agreed, saying it is the best place to eat in the area.

A return visit to an old favourite proved that quality counts every time. The Timothy Taylor's Landlord was fantastic. The actual landlord is a man who knows how a bitter beer should be kept, served and treasured. All the food is freshly cooked. The scallops starter was excellent, just as I had hoped. If anything, the curry is better than ever, according to my wife.

Celebrated our golden wedding anniversary with 23 family members and friends. Fantastic evening, staff were brilliant and the food was superb. Dont know how they managed that number of meals without a hitch but they did, so thank you Clare, Ade, Chris and Si and your wonderful team for making it a night we will never forget. Wow, wow, wow, what a find! Stopped nearby for 5 nights and stopped in here for lunch on the way to our lodge. The service was second to none and the home made food was absolutely amazing. Quick service and a lovely place to eat. Good old fashioned local pub. So good we went back for lunch on our last day and took some friends who also loved the place, the food and the people. We will be back!

I dined at this restaurant with my family, spanning four generations, and they were able to accommodate both high chairs and wheelchairs. The staff was extremely accommodating from the moment we made a reservation. The service was excellent, the menu had a great variety of choices, and the food was of high quality. Just a heads up, the portions are quite large but the prices are very reasonable. Overall, it was a great value for money.

We are an Australian couple 9 weeks into a 12 week European and UK Holiday. Our travels have taken us North of London to Yorkshire where we are staying in superb Air B and B accommodation in a little village called East Cottingwith. The Air B and B owners strongly recommended we visit St Vincent Arms Pub in the nearby village of Sutton Upon Derwent. What an absolute treat we experienced at this delightful Pub this evening. The Pub Restaurant have been owned and operated for 33 years by the same family who must have been doing something extraordinary to survive the challenges of owning a Country Gastronomic Pub for that period of time , particularly in the recent times of Covid.
