The Ashbourne Gingerbread Shop

We enjoyed a delicious light lunch at the restaurant. The staff was friendly and personable, and the restroom was clean.

a very inexpensive and qualitatiw high quality breakfast. one of the few caffes early from 8.00 clock also open freshly baked brot etc.

the name gingerbread is actually misleading, as they make many sorts of baked cards. our favorite was the cream donut. we order twice in 5 minutes! Dear staff also! highly recommended! Ver carta

We visited this cafe today and I couldn’t fault it. There were 6 of us and It was absolutely spot on. It came To £45 which I thought was very reasonable. Would definitely call in again.

I had a delightful experience visiting a well-established tea shop/bakery. The place was impeccably decorated, and I enjoyed some amazing hot coffee along with a wonderful variety of cakes.

This restaurant used to be fantastic, but has significantly declined in quality. The food is still decent, but today we did not receive a portion of our order. The staff did not apologize properly, and they only noticed the mistake when we asked for the bill, despite there being only a few tables occupied. It's disappointing to say that we will not be returning to this restaurant. Ver carta

Birds the gingerbread shop. Range of eat in options available. Good cooked breakfasts. Staff are pleasant and service is quick. Take out sandwiches and pasties are are available at the counter. Take away sausage cobs are lovely, as are the cream slices. Reasonable prices for the quality of food. Pre packed sandwiches often sell out quickly at lunch so don’t leave it late. You can park close by on the market place (pay display)

We stopped by this restaurant for some gingerbread to reminisce about the past. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite live up to the same standards as it did 40 years ago. I remember when they used to sell mostly gingerbread in boxes or smaller packets. The gingerbread still tastes the same, but now they only have a few shelves with gingerbread pixies for kids or small packs of round biscuits. The rest of the menu consists of typical bakery items. It seems that there isn't as much demand for top-notch gingerbread these days.

5 family members visited the cafe this week 2 of the 4 coffees came incorrectly firstly 3 sausage baps with stuffing and apple sauce were ordered 1 white 2 brown simple one would have thought but no. 2 white 1 brown delivered The lady did offer to change it but it didn’t go down well in the kitchen with a ‘ well that’s what they asked for ‘ so we could all hear Very unprofessional Roll changed no butter this time though) Never mind. None of us got the stuffing or apple sauce promised anyway at least no one felt left out) Quite disappointing really It used to be a really lovely tea room. Ver carta
