"The experience here was so good that we went back for dinner again two days later. The food here is delicious, totally appropriate for the price point. I had the trout which was perfectly cooked with a crispy skin but retaining the silky, flaky flesh. The burgers here have a wonderful depth of flavour and if you’re a fan of rich, creamy mash then I’d recommend that you order it as a side dish regardless of what main meal you’re having. The staff are very polite, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We wanted to make a few small substitutions to the food and the waiting staff were very helpful and accommodating in that regard too. The venue itself is a lovely pub with a gorgeous view overlooking the green to the front. Overall it’s faultless if you want a gastropub type meal in a lovely area."

Well decorated pub with a relaxed atmosphere. Food was decent and they have a good variety of interesting dishes. I'd recommend the mezze platter and pie.

The staff were very friendly and helpful with helpful comments on the food. The food was fabulous we both really enjoyed (beef bourguignon and chicken ballontine). Nice cocktails.

Parking was a nightmare. Food was cooked nicely, flavours were good just wasn't enough of it, portions are a bit small. Service was very good, staff were very good. Good for families, lot of children. Gets busy at weekends. Nice location but tricky parking.

this is my third visit to this excellent pub/restaurant. they serve the best Sunday roast beef meat I ever had in a “pub”. the service was also fantastic at any opportunity professional, but relaxed with many waiting staff. that is how the things should be done, but are rare.

We stopped for lunch after a long walk. We sat outside in the sun and watched the cricket which was lovely. The young man serving was very helpful on food and drink choices. The food (starters) were a little on the small side but extremely tasty and the side order of chips were amazing. All in all a great experience.

A pleasant Bar/restaurant with seating to the back and the front. Definitely a place to be on a nice summers day looking out onto Englefield Green. Food seems rather nice but as a vegan, not really that much on offer but apparently that will improve over time. Friendly staff and handled the Tuesday afternoon rush with no stress.

A fantastic restaurant in Englefield Green. This is a pub at heart (including a pub quiz night on Tuesdays! The atmosphere is brilliant , tables are set up well and not squeezed in. The staff are friendly and know the balance between attentiveness and letting you get on with your dinner. The happy hour is a great deal, 5-7pm on selected cocktails! The food is next level for pub food. The soufflé (sweet and savory options are very special as were the crab bon bons, fish cake and the treacle pudding. There is no or limited parking but an easy cab ride from Egham or walking distance from anywhere in Englefield Green. Well done everyone at the Barley Mow! Do go out of your way to give this place...

Great Sunday roast. Fine quality beef with a generous portion and bottomless vegetables and gravy. Service only four stars due to very inexperienced server, third shift and change of staff during our lunch which meant I had to ask for things a couple of times. All staff very professional and polite on a busy, hot, Sunday. Atmosphere only four stars because of inconsistent temperature. It was a fabulously hot day but it did feel like someone was turning the air conditioning on and off a couple of times. Be careful with the contact number in the reservation email for some freaky reason we managed to use it to bypass all phones and get straight to the chef in the kitchen who was very confused....
