The Bear Inn - Menú

Today, we had a baby shower at this restaurant. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. The venue was clean, and everyone was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back to this wonderful pub. We were very impressed.

Called in Tuesday Lunchtime for a Ploughman's absolutely loved it! The Staff are such lovely people our Lunch was perfectly presented! After Lunch we enjoyed a Beer a Wine whilst enjoyed the fantastic views across the countryside! Highly recommend will definitely...be going back!

We enjoyed good food efficient friendly service at the Bear this evening. The burgers are awesome and the home made crumble and treacle sponge really were homemade and very tasty. Children were welcomed. The views out the back of the pub must be some of...the finest in the country. Thank you to Pauline land lady and her team for their hospitality.

Popped to The Bear for a refreshing beer in their humongous garden last night. Amazing experience as usual which was made even better by the discovery of their new Pizza offering!!! The title of this review is best pizza this side of Italy but honestly...these pizzas would have kick the bottoms of most of the pizzas I had in Italy. Thursday is now officially Pizza at The Bear for dinner day. Well done all!!

I recently had my Baby Shower at The Bear Inn, and it was an incredible experience. The afternoon tea was customized to my preferences, and Pauline and her team were exceptional hosts. The newly renovated conservatory was a beautiful setting, especially on a sunny day. My friends and family from different parts of the country were all impressed with the service provided by the staff. I am already looking forward to hosting more events at this venue. Thank you once again for a wonderful time!

I was looking forward to eating as hadn't eaten there for a while. It Had always been nice. It was vile. We both left what was delivered, I could only eat the tasteless veg, I left the mash and the shoe leather. Well shoe leather...would be better, they knew how bad it was as no one bothered to ask, and answers the questions as to why no one eats there any more. U couldn't even cut the belly of pork let alone eat it, as it had been stuffed in a microwave and turned into a rubber brick. I can't understand why you would serve this up, why you would even think this is edible, or that we may come back. We won't.

This weekend we had a surprise birthday party for my Dad at The Bear. They were all so helpful and friendly from the moment we booked (back in April) all through our planning, and mind changing. Pauline and Justin couldn't have been more accommodating, creating...a party menu, letting us decorate the conservatory, arranging our own live entertainment. The food they created was fantastic, everyone commented especially the mini fish and chips in a cone! We also had a smaller lunch today just of us. The food was outstanding and plentiful, staff were attentive and we had a wonderful time. I would recommend them all very highly, and hope to visit again soon.

My wife and I recently had our wedding anniversary meal at the Bear, Burwash and we can both thoroughly recommend it. We started with mixed ciabatta breads, which were tasty and plentiful, then moved on to the main courses. My wife had the Sea Bass...and Tiger Prawn red Thai fish curry with bok choi and sticky coconut rice, while I went for the Sirloin steak with grilled cherry vine tomatoes, roasted field mushroom and a peppercorn sauce. For desert we shared a rather delicious white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake . Service was speedy and friendly. The pub itself was very clean and tidy and the price was very reasonable. All in all a star experience.

The staff at this restaurant went above and beyond to help with an amazing surprise party for my wife. The manager ensured that every detail was spot on for the surprise to work flawlessly. We sat down for what we thought was a romantic meal for two, but then my wife was surprised when the band started playing in the function room. The new refurbishment of the restaurant has made it much nicer for hosting functions, with easy access to the bar and plenty of space for a large group. The buffet provided for both vegans and non-vegans was delicious and went quickly. We also stayed the night in one of their lovely and spacious rooms, and enjoyed a nice breakfast in the morning.
