"St. David's Kitchen has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants and absolutely deserves a 5-star rating. The interior has been beautifully transformed, now brimming with character and local charm. The food is locally sourced and presented so creatively that it’s impossible not to be impressed. The meat is always cooked to perfection, and we especially love the sirloin and filet from the Welsh Black beef. St. David's Kitchen boasts the best selection of gins from local distilleries and has an outstanding team of employees. It's truly a remarkable and unforgettable place, whether you're stopping by for a drink or enjoying a special meal. "Popped in here for food one evening, everywhere was very busy but we were lucky to find a table in the bar. No booking, first come, first serve. Had the fish basket myself which was lovely, very filling with just the fish and salad. Unless you eat a lot, don't order chips if you don't like wasting food. Only thing we'd complain about was that the waffle we had for dessert was solid in the middle and we unfortunately couldn't finish it. Otherwise, lovely country pub with smiley staff. Would go again. "A proper locals’ pub with a bar propped up by sturdy and sweary Welshmen. Confusingly the laminated menu on the bar lists ordinary pub food, but there’s ANOTHER menu of gorgeous pizzas laden with Gorgonzola and sun dried tomatoes and asparagus, and the chef also popped his head out to say they had fresh bass or mackerel on the specials menu. Anyway, I don’t know what’s going on with the menus, but the pizza was up there with the best I’ve ever had, the staff were really friendly, and the sweary Welshmen were nice too. Plus a high chair for our little one and water for the dog, everyone happy."

"Mark Manager and his team were fantastic. Couldn't do enough to make our stay any more enjoyable. We stayed for 3 nights and had dinner in the Hotel on our first night. The dinner experience was the only negatively our stay. Brains hotels have a very appealing dinner menu and wine list at great value but there is obviously a major problem with supply chain Head office as so much of what we ordered was not available , shame !! The Manager and staff were extremely apologetic as we kept having to reselect food choices and the wine available was very limited. The problem is obviously higher up the chain and needs sorting to avoid our negative evening. Hotel fantastic location , very pretty and huge beer garden. If you can sort these issues this Hotel would be highly recommended."
