"Loved this place from the second we walked in! Great ales, brilliant food (I had the Steak and Wolf Ale pie, the greedy one had the lamb!! Both dishes were huge, tasty and lovely vegetables. Honestly say it is the best food served in a pub we've had...ever! Jackie was our hostess on each visit and she was professional, friendly, humerous and extremely hard working. Cannot speak any more highly of the place!"

Huge thanks to the staff at the Bull. Horrendous weather conditions they have remained open, with roaring fire, food and drink. This welcoming pub really is the heart of our town.

What a great find! We were parched and hungry, having climbed Steel Craggs at Hadrian's Wall. Love this quirky little pub. Friendly staff, superb food! We'll be back next time we're in the UK.

great cozy little pub with amazing eating. we ordered Sunday dinner shortly before 2 and were informed that there will be a waiting time and we were not in a hurry. it was definitiw a wait time worth! absolutely amazing eating, great service, family and dog friendly! thank you.
