Sublime. Unpretentious with complete focus on creating stunning dishes. Every dish was a masterpiece of gastronomy. Staff were attentive but not overbearing. Absolutely loved it. Just under £200 for 3 courses for two including drinks. Perfect for a special occasion. Ver carta

Went to The Black Rat for our anniversary recently and was not disappointed. The staff were very attentive and professional. The food was absolutely stunning. This was our first time eating food of this level and it was such a great experience. My personal favourite was the cucumber sorbet with compressed melon balls, which was out of this world!

Some of the best food I have tested, it was superb. Such complex flavours, all our dishes were so tasty. Service was on par with the quality of the food and the staff were fantastic. Wonderful birthday treat. Such a shame it is a victim of the current climate and closing. One of the few places where the staff were properly looked after and it showed in their dedication.

The restaurant had a great staff who were all very professional and attentive. The decor and ambiance were lovely and inviting. The food was fabulous, definitely one of the top three meals I've had since lockdown. There was only one vegetarian option on the small menu, but that was expected. We parked at the well-lit multi-story parking lot a few minutes away. The dine-in service was excellent. The price per person was around £70-80. Ver carta
