excellent staff, we were well looking for even if it was a very busy Sunday afternoon. many seats inside and outside. good menu including traditional sunday roasts. general portions and good quality. an excellent way to spend a afternoon.

this was a very atmospheric place that would be even better in the summer months. the lights are dimmed and there is a beautiful fire that felt very cozy. we had fish and chips, and the teig was so easy that he was melted in the mouth. the personal was also very nice. would recommend

Outstanding food, excellent service and a beautiful location. Manager and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was to die for, I particularly recommend the baked camembert the roasted garlic and honey take it to another level. Absolutely perfect scotch egg also. Can't wait to come back again.

A lovely meal cuttlefish pasta and pork chop with harissa tomatoes. Food was great, quality ingredients used well, and my pork chop was succulent and perfectly cooked. The wine list had a French bias which suited us, the owners were welcoming and charming, and service was excellent. We will definitely return here.

more beautiful places make sure they book in advance. dog-friendly. they allow dogs in the areas without carpets. recommend a circular hiking route (and offer a map). ockham common is beautiful, but taking the main road back has no paviament and speeding cars. they better go to the common and go back to the same way.

Went here for a classic car breakfast meet and was not disappointed. What a great place to go to look round. I was here in June this year for a show during the day, which was amazing also. But very friendly and a great place to meet up. I will be making the trip again to see more. Breakfast and coffee laid on also of course... Brilliant!!!

excellent pub is worth visiting for delicious food in a great location. visited during the last heatwave and it was hot enough to sit only for eating, let alone run around with eating and drinking and working hard like the personal. special mention must be given for our waiter martin, who has an excellent service, infinitely patient and friendly, as we are about the many possibilities for eating and drinking and very timely and professional with our orders. must recommend the vegan burger, very tasty.

We went to the black swan for our friends’ wedding yesterday and can’t rate it any higher! The food was absolutely to die for! And the staff, specifically the owner Barbara and the lovely Asta were so attentive and friendly. We even went back again today for lunch because we enjoyed it so much. We love coming to classic car meets in summer and have never had a bad experience at this pub. The pub was presented absolutely beautifully. Thank you for everything you did to make our friends special day so lovely. We will be back very soon :

We held a work summer party at The Black Swan. We received excellent service, food and drink. The staff were polite and very helpful and all dietary requirements were provided for. The care and attention given to detail was superb. Food presentation was excellent, The staff ensured nothing was omitted and were a pleasure to work with in advance of the event and on the day. Everyone enjoyed the ambiance and food. The venue is beautiful. We were fortunate to be able to dine outside all afternoon which added to the great atmosphere. We would highly recommend The Black Swan to everyone.
