beautiful place, definitely back. the staff was really nice and helpful. we sat in the sun outside. we had steak, ale stelton pier, it was huge and delicious.

Had a gorgeous lunch today. The chips are the best and the pie and fresh vegetables were lovely. Forced a dessert down and am now pleasantly stuffed. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

We had fantastic rib-eye steak with garlic butter sauce. It was amazing! The only down side was that the portion was so big we didn’t have room for the delicious looking desserts. The pub also had a great range of local real ales. Thoroughly recommended. Ver carta

We had a fabulous light Meal at your lovely, character filled Pub !! Our meal was excellent, Rosie’s service was fantastic the Publican James was extremely hospitable !! We made a last-minute reservation on a Saturday night and the restaurant was very busy. Fortunately, we were seated in a cozy room off the main bar with only 4 tables. The main room had a log burner which added to the atmosphere. They had a good variety of drinks, including some 0% beers. The main menu included a vegan risotto and beyond meat burger, both of which we tried and found to be delicious. There was also a veggie Thai curry on the specials board which looked tempting.
