large family-sub, in a charming location. better than average eating and a large selection of beer. friendly owners and employees.

Great night with some old friends, although we did not eat, we drunk enough to sink a battleship and the beer was well kept, the staff were pleasant, a good night had by all.

Stopped off here randomly after picking up a car purchase. The lady who served us was extremely nice and full of life! Thank you from me and my wife! Food was lovely and very homely, just the right portion size too.

Fantastic food and friendly staff, happy to put up with our antics and silly questions. Food was sensational would particularly recommend the sticky toffee pudding! We had no issues with turning up on a Friday night with a reasonable side group, but I think we got lucky so make sure you book ahead!

What a lovely pub! Very friendly and warm welcome from the staff. A wonderful choice on the menu. I had the ham, egg and chips the ham was really lovely and there was so much of it! Great value for money, very generous portion sizes and altogether a very enjoyable afternoon. Will be sure to visit again.

After cycling from Thatcham, stopped off for coffee and something sweet. I chose an Eton Mess and a latte. Both coffee and dessert were lovely and freshly prepared. The inside of the pub was lovely, comfortable seating arrangements. Sweet, friendly staff. Will definitely stop off for a meal next time am out on a cycle.

three roasts for Sunday dinner. chose bark meat with all circumcisions. teller were hot, nice tasty, bark meat, while ok could not be cut into slices. not convinced that the yorkshire was made home, but the actual problem was the amount of gravity poured on the plate, it was swimming. suggest a separate gravy jug available. finished with sticky toffee pudding, delicious. would go back. the staff is young, bright and smiling.

fish and chips are undoubtedly Britain's best food served. this was a new height to my previous experience of the restaurants fish and chips. beautifully cooked crispy chips with fresh broken cadry. the fish was very soft when the teig was peeled off. the fish has a very beautiful texture that almost deceives them into thinking maybe it will chew, but it is the other one around and it melts almost immediately. one of the best fish and chips I had so far.
