The Cambridge Chop House

Cute little place. The cauliflower appetizers were yummy. But I was disappointed in my 8 oz steak. It was very chewy. And the slaw is very mayonnaise.

It was delightful to enjoy a roast dinner, but I was disappointed to once again miss out on Yorkshire pudding. It is definitely possible to make a delicious gluten-free Yorkshire pudding.

The food was amazing, absolutely delicious. A little bit pricey, but definitely worth it. The staff was super nice, and when I asked about gluten they brought me the gluten free menu. They are well educated on celiac disease.

SOOO tasty perfect warm hug on a Sunday. The Sunday roast was so delicious. I feel like it was missing something though. Maybe some roasted garlic and/or stuffing? We also got the sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was probably one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The drinks were great too would recommend their dessert cocktails.

Have not been to the Chop House for years but really enjoyed my last visit. All members of staff we came across with were very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious as usual. We opted in for a set menu and I had a mackerel salad which reminded me of Niçoise salad, with an egg, plenty of mackerel and French beans, my friend enjoyed Haggis fritters. For the main I had a ham hock which came with thick cut chips, they were crispy from the outside and fluffy inside and runny yolk duck egg, absolute perfection.
