The Caulkheads - Carta

Great pub, friendly welcoming staff. The Caulkheads serves good pub food, nicely cooked, reasonable prices, and plenty of it. We ate there twice and also enjoyed the beers.

We had a party of 20, including both adults and children, and the food was served promptly and piping hot. After our meal, we enjoyed the well-kept outdoor play area for the kids. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Their cheesy chips are just the best! Pizza was also nice Have been here a few times would definitely recommend visiting. Lovely garden with lots of seating things for kids to do. Inside also plenty of seats, lots of drink choices staff super friendly helpful Ver carta

Just passing and decided to pop in. Had a lovely meal . Food was fresh and hot, locals were very polite and staff helpful. Prices reasonable, would recommend and go again. There are 4 restaurants from the character inns on isle of wight, all of them offer a pleasant experience all round.

The service at this restaurant was excellent and the food was equally impressive. We ordered the Sunday roast and all three meats - turkey, lamb, and beef - were cooked to perfection. The sticky toffee pudding was especially delicious. The servers were very friendly, the service was quick, and the atmosphere was great!

Had a great meal here today. Lovely food for all and the children loved playing around in the large play garden out of the back. Staff were kind and happy and attentive without being fussy. A very well run pub that was busy for good reason. Well done all. Great choice of food for all including vegans. Happy to add or alter for gluten free as well. We will be back Ver carta

Try this place out food delicious we had pork medallions in mushroom sauce with baby potatoes in garlic butter and a cauliflower cheese bake.we also had the Tex Mex stack double burger with chips and onion rings .Cost with two drinks 35 pounds excellent value for money. Staff very friendly even the chef came out and asked us how our meal was. Will definitely be back for another meal before we go home

Located near the beach in Sandown, this charming pub offers a nice selection of food, including vegetarian options. Orders can be placed at the bar where the attentive staff are quick and helpful. The food was delicious with generous portion sizes perfect for a post-beach dinner. The cocktails were also impressive. Overall, it's a great choice for those visiting Sandown who don't mind dining away from the sea.

My wife and I have visited all of the Character Inns on the island and in each the staff have been very friendly. The Caulkheads is no exception, though this is our least favourite of the group. Despite being the nearest geographically to where we live on the island. It is perhaps because we have visited at quieter times, in winter, when the pub was still rather cold, that it has seemed less inspiring. Though admittedly, we have been disappointed by the food here too, which arrived slowly and less warm than I would have liked. perhaps again, due to being during colder weather, more difficult to keep hot.
