"We stopped by today after seeing some fantastic reviews and decided to have lunch. The charming blonde lady at the front welcomed us and mentioned they were fully booked, which is always promising! However, she kindly found a way to fit us in and secured a table for my friend, my daughter, and me. She did mention that there might be a bit of a wait, but it turned out to be much shorter than we expected. The food arrived quickly, piping hot, fresh, and delicious. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring we were satisfied throughout our meal. I ordered the gammon, which was served with a generous portion of chips hidden beneath it (not visible in the photo). My friend and daughter enjoyed freshly made pizzas, and their only comment was that the pizza sauce could use a little more seasoning or flavor. We would definitely return; the pub has a lovely atmosphere with charming beams and a well-maintained outdoor area. Thank you!"

"--- I recently had lunch at this restaurant and wanted to share my thoughts. The overall experience was enjoyable, with the atmosphere being the standout feature—definitely a 5 out of 5. The ambiance was vibrant and inviting, making it a great place to relax. As for the food, it was decent but didn’t quite blow me away; I'd give it a rating of 3. While the dishes were generally good, they lacked that extra flair that would make them truly memorable. On a more positive note, the service was commendable, earning a solid 4. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed during our meal. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, especially for the ambiance and service, but there’s room for improvement in the food department."

"I had another excellent experience with delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere at this restaurant. There is plenty of parking available just outside. The service during dinner was great, and the price per person is typically between £30 and £40. The food and service both received a 5-star rating, while the atmosphere was rated a 4. I recommend trying the chips. There is a lot of parking space, and the options include a free parking lot."

"Given one menu between three people and expected to know our order within five minutes of arriving; well, that’s the attitude of the young lady serving us as she blatantly rolled her eyes at us because we weren’t ready to order! The second time the young lady came to take our order, the last of our party was trying to find the pizza on the menu (as well as clearly trying to keep an eye on her small child! as it is on the downloadable version from the website and clearly advertised on the café’s Facebook cover photo!! To help my friend out, I asked the lady serving us if the café still served pizza, to which she replied no and did we need extra time, then once again rolled her eyes when we answered yes to needing a bit more time. I’d understand if the café was busy, but there were only three other small groups of customers in the café. It was just utter rudeness! The young lady is obviously very inexperienced when it comes to customer service and would benefit from further training/shadowing of more experienced staff. In addition to this, if pizza is no longer on offer, the café needs to seriously update what they are advertising online! I ordered the cauliflower aloo gobi dhansak jacket potato. The dhansak was so stodgy and tasteless, I didn’t enjoy it. At no point did any of the staff check to see if our food was to our satisfaction. Apart from the young lady taking our order having rolled her eyes at us twice, there was no contact from the staff until we got up to pay; the staff couldn’t move quick enough to clear our plates!! A disappointing experience, particularly as this café USED to have outstanding service and fantastic food! Wouldn’t recommend with its current standards."

"I recently threw my dad a surprise 60th party in one half of The Swan and I can't thank Steph and Chris enough. From start to finish Steph was a fantastic communicator and helped us organise everything from the food to the music nothing was too much. The buffet was delicious and there was so much food we sadly couldn't finish it all! The party was a great success and everyone commented on how lovely the staff were and how lovely the decor was in the pub. Thank you Steph and Chris for hosting a fantastic night! We cannot wait to have another party there again. Hannah x"
