Super meal friendly service and even were given free cocktails when the waiter found out it was my birthday !

Well what to say.....,we stumbled in this gem on a really nice british summer evening! The owner philip is really knowleadgeable! The food was spot on and he suggested amazing wines to go with the meal!! I will definitely go back next time i ll be in the uk!!

I highly recommend this restaurant! The pan-fried sea bream was excellent. My mom also enjoyed the cheese and bacon burger, and I was impressed that they offered gluten-free options for many items on the menu. She has never been able to have a burger at a restaurant before. We had a fantastic family meal yesterday for Mother's Day. As always, the staff, food, and atmosphere were exceptional. Despite it being a busy day, the food arrived promptly, and the staff showed great kindness and care in accommodating my three-year-old granddaughter's needs. Kudos to everyone for working so hard!

Went to the Cheques today for my Birthday lunch. Had the traditional Roast Beef and it was lovely. Followed by the Warm carrot cake and sorbet which was sooooo yummy. There is so much choice on the menu so will definitely be going back. What makes it even better is I live five minutes away so can have a drink and walk home!! ..

Excellent. So often a favourite restaurant falls down on quality between Xmas New Year but The Chequers excelled themselves, not easy for a table of 23 but they did.
