Really great meal lovely setting next to the river for aperitifs and there was live music in the bar on the evening we went. Great atmosphere and nice people.

Took my Aunt here for the seafood platter and a bottle of Provence… she loved it and so did I. Sat in the sunshine and watched the world go by. Highly recommended

Thanks to the amazing Crispin team for making my birthday celebration special! Eight of us had a wonderful evening. The staff were attentive and efficient nothing was too much trouble for them. I recommend coming here for your family celebrations.

While strolling by the Riverside on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, we stumbled upon a delightful seafood platter that caught our eye. The staff were warm and attentive, encouraging us to try it out. We decided to enhance our experience by adding half of a locally caught lobster to our platter. It was a perfect pairing with a bottle of Chapel Down Bacchus from a vineyard in Kent. Unfortunately, we were only in town for a short visit and wished we had a similar venue back home.

The food at this restaurant was mediocre despite the high prices. The steaks were small, the chips frozen, and the haddock overcooked and dry. The bread served as a starter was too hard to eat. We were disappointed that no one checked back with us during our meal, which is a basic expectation at any restaurant. The lack of service and attention to detail on a quiet Saturday night was noticeable. It's a shame because the setting and building were lovely, but the focus should be on improving the customer experience and making the food exceptional rather than just average.

As locals, we decided to venture out and try new restaurants instead of always going to our usual spots. We hadn't been to this place in years, and the last time we went, it was Caribbean-themed and not very good. However, things have changed for the better now. We received a warm welcome from the staff and were quickly seated with menus and drinks, even though the restaurant was busy. The three gentlemen working at the front were very polite, friendly, and attentive without making us feel rushed. The food was excellent - I had a delicious pulled pork burger, and my wife enjoyed her chicken schnitzel, both cooked perfectly and full of flavor. We even had room for dessert and coffee. Food here had been pretty bad but local gossip rumoured that, with a new chef, it had become very good. Tripadvisor reviews were mixed but we gave it a try yesterday and soon regretted the decision. We had pre booked a table though, as it transpired, there were plenty in the restaurant area. The bar was very busy so it took ten minutes for someone to direct us to our table, a further ten minutes to get a menu and another ten minutes to order. We were warned that there could be an hour 's delay for the food.
