we had a wonderful meal today, the Rib-eyes were done to perfection, sevice was very good with friendly staff, well worth a visit, A good choice with all the mains on the two for one menu.

We visited the crown this weekend as a group of 7 adults and 3 children. As we have experienced previously the food was very good quality and the place is clean and staff are friendly. Would definitely recommend this place especially after a walk around chasewater. As a final note the ribeye steak is particularly good.

decent pub which is geared up more for food than just drinking,as a marstons chain pub the food menu is fairly standard but a lot of menu items are buy one get another free which is fine if you are a even number of customers but if not you will lose out,rather than this gimmick all items should be priced per person,our sunday lunch was decent and most important the gravy was tasty and our waitress friendly.

This was our second visit to the Crown. Despite being very busy (probably due to the half term, judging by the amount of children present) we were treated very well by the waiting staff and the chap behind the bar. Our food was not rushed and we could clearly tell the chefs had made every effort needed to ensure our dishes were to the highest standards. This is now our favourite eatery and look forward to the Chritmas fayre which we have booked for a couple of times in December.Well done the Crown! Keep up the good work!

Called In again at approximately 3pm today which is when it's the calm before the storm.. this is a good time to go as its quiet and you can basically sit anywhere you like. Staff in the Times I have eaten there are always smilley and friendly. Ordered the steak , chicken wings and prawns today with the steak being rare.. all cooked to perfection . Really enjoyed the meal . Last time few weeks ago I had the surf and turf. Again really nice . Different staff but really good. Partner had scampi last time and really good. I wasn't overly impressed with the seating arrangements, we are a big family with a small baby and clearly stated there would be a pushchair. However, we weren't the ones put out, I was concerned about the other poor customers putting up with us!The food is nice. I had the ribeye, good quality steak, but the chef's cooking was inconsistent. Both steaks were ordered medium rare. Both were not. One was medium well and the second well done. I came with my family here for a meal today, I 'd heard that the Sunday roast dinners were to die for! We arrived and were seated quickly. We were told that we had a 'server ' that would wait on us. We waited 10 minutes before we eventually went to the bar, it was only opposite us so it wasn 't such an issue to us. The barmaid were really pleasant and helpful. They helped me take the drinks over to the table and made sure we were okay. After driving past this restaurant on numerous occasions and seeing it was busy most of the time, me and my partner decided to give it a go wish we hadn't of bothered! Walked into restaurant an could see they were fairly busy but was quickly shown to a table might as well of been sitting on the persons lap next to us how close the tables are!
