The Finnieston - Carta

The fish was tasty, and we particularly enjoyed the broccoli-almond side, and the parmesan truffle fries.

Food was fantastic. Restaurant was clean but very cold. I had to eat with my coat on as i was sitting beside a door to the rear and it was opened regularly during my meal

Highly recommended. Went for my husband birthday. We had a lovely time. The person (sorry I can’t remember the name) who served us, was great and so friendly. Food tasted amazing and drinks are unique and tasty!! Ver carta

Lovely cozy environment. Great selection on the menu. We decided to skip starters and go straight for the beer battered fish and chips. Huge portion of the best fish and chips I’ve eaten. Crispy batter, thick flaky fish and very fresh tartar sauce made for an excellent meal.

Did not enjoy. Given voucher as a Xmas gift so had to use. Premises were cold although fire was on and no where warmer to move a table of 4 to heat up! Two of us sat with coats on for the entire meal! Food was, in our opinion, very average and pricey for what was provided. Chips were cold. Would not return.

This is my new favourite! Fantastic chilled vibe, great food and wine and a very knowledgeable and engaging waitress. Sampled the beef shoulder and scallop starters, then the best fish and chips I’ve seen and tasted as well as the exquisite halibut in a seafood consommé. Washed down with some refreshing house white wine. Will definitely be back. Ver carta

There is a phrase in Scotland “Dreich” Scottish people use it to describe a rainy, dismal day…… On a rather “Dreich” Sunday it was a pleasure to visit The Finneston Restaurant where we were met with a warm, friendly ambiance, lovely, cosy atmosphere delicious food Thank you for brightening a rather dull Sunday afternoon, we will definitely be back!

Great service and good food. I made a reservation but got the date wrong, thankfully there was a table available and they still honoured the deposit that i placed even though it was my mistake. The service staff (forgotten her name) was super friendly and helpful. And her service was top notch. We felt so bad that we forgot to leave a tip. Food was tasty and great options of gin to choose from. The portion was generous and seafood was fresh.

Love the general ambience of the place with the cosy fire going and general decor. Staff were lovely and attentive. We had the smoked duck for starters, absolutely delicious, then the Haddock Chips for hubby and Cod for me. Both mains were also lovely. Our only gripe with the restaurant is it's over priced wine. We paid £43 for a bottle of Rioca and it definitely wasn't worth the price. If you pay that price for a bottle of wine, then naturally you expected to enjoy it. We usually enjoy that particular grape but not this time. If they want to charge those prices for wine then the quality needs to be there. Ver carta
