I arrived at the restaurant only to find that it was closed. I'm not sure who is at fault, but I was very disappointed.

I recently had a family gathering for lunch at this pub and I can honestly say that it is a hidden gem. The staff is friendly, the food is excellent, and we were recommended this place for its great service. We will definitely be returning in the future.

However, the restaurant was full when we arrived and it took about an hour and a half to receive our main meals after ordering. The price per person was £30-40. Beautiful pub, one of my favourite in the area. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was absolutely delicious. The crispy squid tasted so fresh and the risotto was amazing. Three course meal for £45ish pp with drinks. We will definitely be back. This English country pub is the best for miles! The atmosphere is relaxed, with cozy fires, beautiful decor, and dogs welcome. The food and drinks are amazing. Special thanks to the waitress and the chef today for their courtesy. As a vegan, I know it can be a challenge for servers, but they were very helpful and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make my meal enjoyable. I can still enjoy Sunday dinner at my favorite pub with my family. I highly recommend this pub for carnivores, vegetarians, and vegans alike.

We went to the restaurant for a Sunday dinner with a group of 12 people. Anita, the manager, was very friendly and accommodating, allowing us to add additional items to our order on the day. Most of us tried the black bass with Yorkshire pudding and found it to be amazing, with fresh and well-prepared vegetables on the side. The portions were generous, and some in our group were unable to finish their meals due to being too full. We appreciated the excellent service from the entire team and will definitely be returning in the future. Ver carta
