Lovely food and fast service. Bar and waiting staff really friendly and welcoming. Really tasty food. Overall we had a lovely evening.

Booked for Sunday lunch, lovely hosts. Inside is beautifully laid out with outdoor areas both front back. Very welcoming, great menu. You can tell the food is local because it tastes so fresh. Highly recommended.

This is the perfect spot to unwind. Eric and his wife are wonderful hosts. The food was fantastic and the service was quick. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for delicious homemade meals at a reasonable price! Greetings from Poland :)

Nice food well cooked. Want aware of the cast wandering around the restaurant until it appeared on the ledge at the side of my face. Cute if you like cats and the hairs that go with them in your dining area? Some do I don't! Beers good well kept much more of an eatery than a pub.

Staying at nearby Yurtshire, The Grantley was in walking distance so we booked for Sunday lunch. From phoning in our preorders to dining the whole experience was faultless. Everyone was extremely welcoming and the food was just delicious, cooked and served to a very high standard. Would highly recommend, will definitely be back, just wished we lived nearer! Ver carta

A lovely friendly village pub. Myself and three friends visited the pub for an evening meal on Friday 16th September. We were very surprised by the excellent quality of the food and the attentive service provided by the very friendly waitress and barman. Despite not being local to the village we were made to feel at home and were glad to spend our evening there. Our only disappointment was the opening hours on the Saturday afternoon- you missed a few people calling in for a pint after we squeezed in for last orders! We look forward to visiting the pub again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good solid local. Thanks again for a lovely evening.

We have been dining at this restaurant every year when we visit our family, and we used to really enjoy the experience. However, recently there have been changes... It is no longer a traditional pub and has become pretentious. It is a nice place to eat for couples, but it is expensive for what you receive. The staff are somewhat grumpy, which is not charming. We do not recommend this place for families with children. We made a reservation for a table including a high chair, even though our children were well-behaved and stayed in their seats, the owner stated that other diners were not pleased. In reality, the other diners did not say anything and it was the snobbish waitress who ruined our...

We used to visit this restaurant every year when we were in town visiting family, and we typically enjoyed our meals there. However, on our most recent visit, we found that things had changed. The restaurant is no longer the cozy traditional pub we remembered. It is still a nice place to eat for a couple, but we found it to be overpriced for the quality of the food. The staff seemed unfriendly and lacking in charm. They were particularly unwelcoming towards children. We had booked a table for eight, including a high chair for our well-behaved children, but the owner expressed dissatisfaction with their presence.
