This place can get busy after work especially on a Friday because it's on a really sunny corner near Farringdon and has lots of picnic tables outside.

Stopped in here for pre and post dinner drinks and it's not bad. Drinks are reasonably priced, staff are friendly, the vibe is ok and it's not so loud that you can't hear each other. Solid.

The restaurant provided a warm welcome and is a great spot for a well-organized drink during challenging times with Covid. The outdoor seating offers good tables in the sun and is not crowded.

I was very impressed with the food, the flavors, and the friendly staff at this restaurant. I ordered the lamb dish which was delicious! The winter vegetables were also excellent and each had lovely sauces to complement them. The atmosphere inside was nice and they even had a vat of mulled wine going. Ver carta

Were here for a private get together, Sunday light lunch, in a room upstairs. We were about 40 people. Crowded, but not too crowded. The buffet was very tasty, various freshly made vegetarian and fish dishes. Down to earth interiors, yet cosy atmosphere. A small, and kind of cool, bar in one of the corners. A lot of windows letting the November sun in. Friendly staff.

Quite shocked when I ordered a G and T and was poured some tonic and when I went to take the rest of the small bottle of fever tree to top up later, member of the bar staff brusquely said it wasn’t included with my drink and they charge extra!! Never had this happen in any bar ever. When I order a G and T I would expect to receive the full bottle of tonic, to adjust my drink to taste. Also curious as to what they use the rest of the tonic for before it goes flat… someone else’s drink?! So stingey… disappointed in this otherwise lovely pub.

I have been here several times for lunch mid week and it has always been enjoyable. Came for Sunday lunch with some visiting Spanish relatives whilst in town sightseeing with them. We all loved the food, the beers and the atmosphere was comfortable, I think the high ceiling helps prevent the noise of loud conversation being a problem. Its also very pleasant with the large windows and lots of natural daylight. The only thing that lets this plave down is the male toilets in the basement and the passageway down there all really grotty but not uncommon in old London buildings I guess, just not a pleasant experience if you visit during a delicious lunch.
