"A post new year Sunday lunch at a lovely pub that frankly we should visit more often. Roast beef was cooked to perfection with plenty of veg to satisfy the most ardent critic, however i just could not resist the treacle tart. Hats off to the staff who are bright and attentive and took time to engage with us for a cheery chat or two. I understand it will close for the rest of January 2022 so we look forward to visiting again next month. All the very best, from Daniel Craig body double and the lady that doesnt look her age, which I am duty bound to tell everyone given a chance"

Goujons of fresh fish in beautiful batter and best chips ever. And my goodness what a portion! Super lunch and great selection of lo/no drinks.

Advised initially no room but then another member of our party asked to be told yes? Little slow for food to arrive but all freshly cooked and lovely meals so wait worth it.

beautiful Sunday dinner. very beautiful country pub with excellent food. was served by very helpful staff. Now we have tried, we will come back. Top brands for the cook and the team.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Went for the Sunday roast and wasn’t disappointed. Somehow managed to save space for dessert (triple chocolate brownie). Make sure you book a few days to a week in advance as they don’t have a lot of tables. And tips need to be in cash.

eating was delicious and very generous. it took a past, but freshly cooked and waiting worth. service and decor was beautiful. only improvements would be background music and would love to see an EV charger here. it would go to a regular stop of a1 for a meal and dog.

tonight called to a meal, although we had not booked, the staff was happy to accommodate us. beautiful clean pub, fantastic and professional staff. eating was brilliant and a decent portion size also. all round large meal and will be visited again along the recommended for family and friends.
