"Please take time to find your way round the rather odd one way system in Arbroath and get to the old part of town where this charming little cafe/restauraunt is situated the Westport. Lovely Sonia could not have been more helpful, more welcoming or considerate. For a GF Veggie, it was a joy to have such a choice of dishes, and made a good one Mexican wrap with salads and coleslaw. When it arrived I just sat and smiled at it the prettiest, most tempting plate of food I'd seen in a long time. Salad leaves enhanced by tiny segments of fresh fig and walnuts, a lightly dressed courgetti/red cabbage/pepper salad, and beautifully tasty well filled wraps so colourful, fresh and beautifully presented seemed almost a shame to eat it, but I did and relished every mouthful. Hubby's rogan josh was good too! As were our coffees and traybakes afterwards. Went away with a hug and a wonderful experience of people who truly love food and care about their customers. Only regret is we didn't find it sooner, but if we're ever up that way, we'll surely be back."

"We visited on a Friday night as a family of 5, all ages. The service was friendly and personable. We were made really welcome and nothing was a bother. The food was brilliant. Huge portions and all delicious. The cullin skink was tasty and the burgers thick and delicious. However the star of the dinner was the sticky toffee pudding! The sauce alone was amazing! We enjoyed it so much we went back for our lunch the next day. It was just as impressive and this time we tried out the cocktails magic! I would throughly recommend here for food and drinks not to be missed!"

"Went for dinner on Sunday evening, hadn’t booked a table but we managed to get a table. Staff very friendly and welcoming. I had chicken and sweetcorn soup for a starter. Very tasty and packed with chunks of chicken, a meal in itself. Next up was breaded fish and chips with lovely homemade tartare sauce, my partner had a steak pie with the seasonal vegetables which she really enjoyed. Both portions of food were very large and extremely tasty. Went to pay the bill and was very reasonably priced as well. Would certainly recommend and will definitely be back when in the area"

"On Saturday for an overnight stay, the Dangerpoint ensuite room was fantastic. It was large, very clean, and offered a wonderful view of the seafront. The room had all the amenities we needed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast the next morning was also fantastic with a lot of options to choose from. I would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back for a longer stay in the future."

"Sat down in an empty restaurant, ordered a lot of food and told we were ordering a lot of food (surely this is a good thing for any restaurant). Ordered a few drinks, yet when new customers arrived after paying the bill and giving a tip, we’re basically hassled out the door… Now I understand why it’s empty. We won’t be back. Good luck pissing off locals like that. Such a shame as food was nice enough yet when you’re treated like that, don’t expect me back."
