Called in for lunch on a Thursday. I had steak and onion pie, my husband had liver and bacon. All freshly cooked, served hot. Will definitelybe back.

The restaurant offers friendly service and good quality classic pub food. I would have given it 5 stars if the Doombar beer had been perfect, but it was slightly off in taste. I should have mentioned it at the time, as it may have been the end of the barrel. Ver carta

We popped in for a quick drink just before the place closed for the evening. Sadly very quiet, we were the only ones there, had a lovely chat with the landlord who is v friendly and has been at the pub (as a drinker, then as landlord) for decades! The food at this restaurant was fantastic and great value for money. The quaint pub is a lovely place to dine, and it's dog-friendly so we were able to bring our dog, Barney, inside with us. The price per person ranges from £20 to £30. The food was rated a 5, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 3. We highly recommend trying the Homemade 8oz Beef Burger with Brie and Bacon.

We stopped for a drink after a walk and enjoyed the nice outdoor area, which is also dog-friendly. Although we didn't eat on this visit, we plan to after hearing good things from other reviews. The locals were friendly, which was a welcome change from some pubs that can be a bit cliquey. The prices were reasonable, ranging from £1-10 per person, and the service and atmosphere both scored a 5 out of 5. Ver carta
