The combinations of ingredients and flavors were surprising and intriguing, definitely a delight. The service was excellent—friendly, casual, attentive, and considerate. The customer service today was awful. Our large pre-booked party was not informed that there was no chef available. We only found out about this after we had been there for 15-20 minutes!

It’s wonderful to find a place that serves authentic local ale—it's definitely worth visiting just to try it, as it was delightful. Add in the incredibly friendly staff and the fantastic atmosphere, and you have everything you could hope for in a pub.

This is a quintessential Antic pub, featuring an assortment of vintage furniture in a former job center on Deptford High Street. Since we couldn't get a table at our favorite, which is lively on weekends, we were delighted to find plenty of seating available here. The standard Volden ale from Antic was quite good.
