The Kedleston Country House

Popped in for lunch today. We eat in the Orangery which is very light and spacious. The food was good quality and the staff very friendly. Highly recommended.

For father's Day my son and girlfriend took us to Kedleston Country House. The Sunday Lunch was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

My family and I went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday. The atmosphere is delightful, with a boutique feel. The service was impeccable and the food was amazing - the best Sunday lunch we've had in Derby! We will definitely be returning.

We have eaten here on around 4 or 5 occasions over the last few years and always been very happy, this time we stayed the night to celebrate my 65th birthday. That was an excellent decision, from our arrival, room quality, pre dinner drinks, the evening meal, then morning breakfast everything was 100% perfect in every way. Well done the Ked Team spot on, best quality on everything.

We reserved the orangery for our office Christmas party. The location was beautiful and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All of our guests enjoyed the food and the staff were very accommodating for those with dietary restrictions such as dairy and gluten free options, as well as personal food preferences. We called because we were passing along the road. We have fond memories of being a regular visitor here many years ago. Very impressed with the subtle modernization, and the pleasant interior design. It’s a place of real serenity and select without being imposing. Staff are very professional and friendly without being intrusive. I Have multiple food allergies and these were catered for. Food is very fresh and tasty. Prices are reasonable. So Nice to sit and relax here. Highly recommended.

Had a 2 night stay while attending a training in derby, I only wish I’d I’m had more time to appreciate the area and restaurant! My course hours were longer than expected and each morning the chef provided a gorgeous continental breakfast, far better than I’ve ever experienced. The staff were welcoming and friendly arrived much later than expected due to a breakdown). I stayed in the Derbyshire and had 2 great nights sleep in a peaceful and comfortable room. Excellent amenities in the room. I will come back again with my husband for a mini break!

As a couple with children, finding time to relax together can be difficult. We booked the honeymoon suite at The Kedleston Country House for a romantic getaway, but our experience was disappointing. The carpark was crowded, there were noisy groups on the terrace, and check-in was slow. Our room was nice but hot and poorly ventilated. Despite the website stating food was available until 20:30, we were told there was none due to a party booking. The bar atmosphere was not what we expected. The lack of foresight and poor customer service made our stay unpleasant. We were left in a dining area with a complimentary drink, feeling isolated.
