"Went for the 1st tine under the new owners after being a regular previously. The food was excellent as before but my homemade pie had a long black hair in it and my wife’s coffee mug was chipped. The roast was wonderful, but both the beef and lamb were overcooked to a leathery texture. The chicken was acceptable. However, everything else, including the food variety, atmosphere, and staff, was fantastic.

We have been for a roast the last two Sundays. Avoid the lamb and beef it's not great quality meat and its as tough as old boots. Stick with the chicken. Staff are lovely and the place has a nice atmosphere. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
