The New Inn - Carta

This was the best Sunday lunch we've ever had, with pleasant and polite service. We will definitely be returning very soon. The food, service, and atmosphere were all rated a perfect 5 out of 5.

We decided to take a walk around Blagdon Lake and stopped at the pub for lunch. The staff was friendly, the beer was good, and the atmosphere was cozy with the woodburners. We both enjoyed the chicken and ham pie, which was delicious, generously sized, and reasonably priced. This was my first visit, but I will definitely return for more. Ver carta

I absolutely adore this pub now that it's under new management after being neglected for so many years. Last night, I had a fantastic meal with 10 friends in the Private Dining area. The food and service were both outstanding, and we had a wonderful evening overall. From the moment we walked in until we left, we felt very welcomed. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, with a lovely log fire.

Small pub with big garden overlooking the lake. The best thing about it was the garden view. The girl behind the bar was nice enough but I don 't think very beer savvy. Hubby 's 1st beer was glaringly obviously off he had to return it and it was poured away. The 2nd choice ale wasn 't good either so he ended up with cider (which was a bit tainted too). Food was 'meh ' when it eventually arrived after a very long wait and there were only 6 customers in the whole place.

I visited the pub on the night it had just reopened, so there was no food available. However, we decided to stay overnight as it was conveniently located near the airport for an early morning flight. The pub was clean and fulfilled our needs for the night. The staff were very friendly and we had a great time interacting with other customers. I would definitely stay there again. We had a very disappointing lunch at this restaurant with a limited menu and no warning when we booked our table. The bar staff were friendly enough, but the food was not satisfactory. The chips were not crispy and were very brown. When I asked for an omelette instead of scampi or bean chili, they said they couldn't accommodate any off-menu requests. The bread rolls had no butter and the gravy was almost solid and wouldn't pour. We heard other customers complaining, especially about the vegetarian beans topped with baked beans. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant.

This charming pub is situated in beautiful surroundings, with picturesque views of the lake from the carpark. The interior exudes an old-world charm and is warm and inviting. While the menu is not extensive, this may be a good thing. Unfortunately, the meals we ordered did not meet our expectations. The gluten-free pies were not the best, with the meat inside being just okay. The Cottage Pie was average, and we suspected it contained thyme and possibly celery, although there was no mention of ingredients for allergy sufferers. Overall, we were not impressed with our experience and do not plan on returning anytime soon.

We booked for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday for our granddaughters 10th Birthday. On arrival we thought the menu was small and limited. It was difficult for us to choose food the children would like. After two of us ordered bean chilli with rice we were informed they had run out of rice but offered us chips which we agreed to. Well the chilli was watery tinned tomatoes, chilli powder and 3 different types of beans. The chips were dark brown, overcooked, limp and reheated as were the chips served with the other meals. We were unable to finish our meal as it was the worst chilli I have ever been served. We were very disappointed with the quality of all the food and wouldn't recommend eating at... Ver carta
