The Old White Bell - Carta

We are fortunate to have The Old White Bell as our neighborhood pub. The Sunday lunch is always delectable and reasonably priced. Nicky, the bar manager, always takes great care of us. James and Sean, the owners, have done a fantastic job creating a charming and welcoming atmosphere. We look forward to every visit.

Walking into the Old White bell is always a treat, this time of year they have tree that is about 10/12ft tall. Behind the bar you are always met with a smile and there’s a lot of choice. The food is always lovely and warm and I’ve never had a problem in my many times of eating here. Kids and dogs on leads are welcome too.

I had a fantastic Sunday lunch with my friends who live nearby in Southery. We had three roast options, all cooked perfectly with delicious trimmings and a variety of vegetables. The desserts, including my cherry bakewell pudding, were also excellent. The service was good and the prices were fair. Overall, this pub restaurant is delightful and definitely worth a visit. We joined friends for Sunday lunch without knowing what to expect since we were not locals, and the restaurant was quiet. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious Sunday lunch with generous portions, a wonderful selection of meats, and fresh vegetables. The prices were reasonable and the staff provided excellent service. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Mid week meal, good warm welcome, not been here before and we were impressed with the decor. Lady who looked after us was very thoughtful, offered a table in the bar rather than restaurant as it was so quiet. Menu has been reduced which was a shame, what we chose however was very nice and freshly prepared for us. We will visit again and hopefully with more people the experience will be even better

Food is not always available in the Old White Bell but when it is the quality is excellent. Sunday lunch is always good but this occasion was a pre Christmas get together. Our large group was served quickly and efficiently with large portions of tasty hot food. Beware the apple crumble only the brave can eat a whole portion and some of our party took it home to finish. My husband and I enjoyed the Sunday Carvery yesterday at The Old White Bell and it was absolutely delicious real home cooked food and the roast potatoes are some of the best I have had. There are 3 choices of meat and plenty of accompanying vegetables etc and all at a very reasonable price. Had a wonderful lemon tart for dessert and again this was scrummy and also very well priced. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was good so we will definitely be returning.

We called ahead to secure one of the last available tables and we were not disappointed. Although we are not locals, we would highly recommend this pub to others. The staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. The Sunday lunch was amazing and they were able to cater to my unique dietary requirements with no problem. In fact, other restaurants could learn a thing or two from this place. For only £15, we enjoyed a three-course meal which was a bargain. If we find ourselves back in the area, we will definitely be returning to this establishment.

I have dined at this pub restaurant for the second time now and I once again had a great experience with the food and drinks. The quality and presentation of the food is excellent, making it hard to label it simply as pub food. The starters were delicious and cooked perfectly, and we tried a variety within our group. Our main dishes were equally tasty, with the scampi being a standout choice that showed great care in preparation. The atmosphere of the pub is relaxed and inviting, making it a great spot to spend an evening. The staff and owners were fantastic, and I am looking forward to visiting again in the future. Ver carta
