The Pier House - Carta

A very average meal, bits of which were not even warm by the time it arrived. gammon was however very nice. As long as you keep expectations to a pub restaurant you'll be fine.

Fantastic atmosphere, food and friendly staff who did everything they could to make our meal with children very enjoyable. Very reasonablely priced food. Great selection of fish.

Back to my favorite place to eat in Westward Ho! To try the new winter menu. The slow cooked short ribs were just sensational!! We sat in the restaurant and service was friendly and we had the amazing view. Ver carta

We were a group of 35 and the fish and chips were rated the best by many of our party. Thank you Josh and Holly for the excellent service, fresh food and friendly staff. Only shame about the misty sea view!

We have had lunch here before and travelling 30 mile round trip, advised as a couple we could not have a sea view. All tables despite being available only for groups of 4 plus. We left and went to Instow Arms welcomed as a couple and offered a table for two overlooking wonderful views.

We had a delightful Sunday carvery and were fortunate to snag a table by the window overlooking the beautiful sea view. The only downside was that the beef was quite tough. We mentioned it to the waitress, but she just shrugged and apologized. However, it wasn't a big issue as the two of us who had the beef also enjoyed the gammon. Ver carta

Our friends who live nearby took us to this restaurant with stunning views of the estuary. The staff we encountered were all friendly and professional. The menu was excellent and it was hard to choose with the great selection of locally caught fish. We all loved our meals and my wife and I would definitely come back when we are in the area again.

Visited before starting another assault on the SW Coastal path. Only went for sandwiches and a beer but both were excellent and it was lovely to sit on the terrace overlooking the sea for some serious people watching. Would certainly go back. This place certainly transcends its external aspect, by which I mean it is far more than the licensed outlet of the adjacent holiday park it appears to be. Staff were super friendly too.

I would have given the food 4 stars and our waitress provided excellent service, but I am giving this restaurant a 1-star review due to their strange 'sea view' seating policy. My husband and I came here for lunch and were told there were no sea view tables available because they were all booked. However, I noticed that these tables remained empty throughout our meal. When I questioned this, I was told that customers could not be moved once seated because it would inconvenience the staff. The waitress later claimed that the tables were actually booked for later, contradicting her previous statement. This experience was confusing and frustrating, and we will not be returning in the future. Ver carta
