This is our first visit here today, and I can't believe we had never come before, considering we don't live far away. The food was excellent—I had three courses, and each one was delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was great. We will definitely be returning and I highly recommend this place!

Great beer, friendly staff, good food. There's a lovely beer garden out the front, and plenty of seating inside. Their fries are the best... sweet potato, halloumi or regular potato they're all awesome. Serves a good pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord.... We visited the restaurant on Tuesday night and were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff at the bar. They escorted us to our table in the dining room, where we ordered sirloin steaks and a bottle of wine, along with the delicious grape butter cake for dessert. The food was fantastic, just like the service! If you're ever in the Allerthorpe/Pocklington area, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended!

This is a fantastic dining spot that I highly recommend. The service here is possibly the best I've ever experienced at a pub, and the food was outstanding. Price per person: £10–20. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5. Recommended dishes include the Chocolate Brownie, Bangers and Mash, and Garlic Bread. As for parking, it can be somewhat challenging to find a spot, but there are options available, including a free parking lot and free street parking.

Honestly the best meal out we've had in years. Booked for a family birthday meal and requested a dining pod. Perfect for allowing the kids to enjoy themselves without worrying about keeping them on their seats! The owner is fantastic, friendly, upbeat and full of energy, but not overbearing. He strikes the perfect hosting balance! The waiting staff were lovely, very attentive and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb. Obviously quality ingredients expertly cooked with very generous portions. Not the cheapest but certainly not overpriced and, bearing in mind the quality of the food and service, I would say excellent value for money. Will definitely be back again soon and... Ver carta
