We had the best Sunday lunch we've enjoyed in years! Every dish was incredibly tasty, and the portions were very generous. The service was fantastic, all in the charming atmosphere of a delightful country pub.

Stunning little pub, situated in the village of Wookey, we had a fantastic Sunday lunch, ample portions and cooked to perfection, cauliflower cheese was the best I've ever eaten. Excellent village pub. Great atmosphere, very welcoming and friendly staff. Gets very busy, so make sure to book for lunch or dinner, and well worth a visit. Food was excellent. Thursday is steak night, free sauce and drink with your steak. Cooked perfectly as requested. Locally brewed beer very good too, Witch Way Home.

Called in on the off chance mid evening on Monday night. We were immediately made welcome and soon ordered our drinks and evening meal. We certainly couldn't fault the quality or quantity of the food. A great evening with lots of chat and they even sorted out a solution to our accommodation problem!!! Would recommend and definitely go back there again.

We enjoyed a beautiful Sunday roast with an abundance of high-quality meat and vegetables. It was, without a doubt, the best roast we have ever had. The chef does an outstanding job; the food is delicious and the portions are very generous. Everything we tried was incredible, and the chef even took the time to personally ask us about our experience with his dishes. You can truly tell that he is passionate about his cooking and really puts in the effort. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely make a point to return!

in this traditional rural pub for lunch and would recommend a visit with a healthy appetit. my 8oz rump steak was cooked to perfection, blue (as I like it). the chips were obviously hand-cut and perfectly crispy on the outside while they remained soft in the inner. concerning the steak and guinness of my manne, this was full of meat pieces and comes with a selection of potatoes and vegetables. the personal was friendly and courteous and sure that everything was our joy and made us feel at home during our visit. I hosted a birthday dinner at this restaurant, and I must say the service was exceptional from start to finish, thanks to the incredibly friendly staff. The pub features a cozy private room that's just the right size for a group of twenty friends and family to sit together and enjoy a meal. The communication leading up to the event was very reassuring. We ordered our meals in advance, and the service was fantastic; all the dishes were delicious and served quickly, so everything remained hot and we could eat together. We were also allowed to bring in a birthday cake later. Despite the pub being quite busy, everything about the evening went wonderfully. Thank you! Ver carta
