We had a lovely evening. The food was good and the service was friendly and enthusiastic. Who knew the cure for hiccups is a spoonful of vinegar! Great night

for a new year meal, limited sausage and chip menu, which was good, but eating was disgusting and unusable. chips soaked in fat, no kartoffel in them and the sausage burned in teig. it was terrible.

Such a relaxing atmosphere. Real traditional pub with excellent food. No menu because most dishes are cooked fresh on the day. Great wine list, lovely cheese board, good beer (apparently) and homely and cosy, just love it!

eat is fantastic, a small menu because it is all fresh! local products and local beer! the coworkers are wonderful and there are so many events that are on when they are local and want to be involved following their instagram to keep...updated! love it here!

Went for a ride out on motorcycle and planned to visit not knowing what it was like, but so glad we did. The welcome we got was fantastic and the food was home made, we had a lite bite piggy pillow . The beer was...from the local brewery Larkins, we had the Traditional what a nice pint

Fantastic afternoon on Halloween and Rugby day. We sat through the COVID PMs Lockdown message on TV. Gutted for Emma and Jim. How will we all cope . Then some tool burst into the bar..... Doctor's White Coat covered in mock blood with his wife...a child, shouting I'm spreading COVID and you're all going to die! No one saw any humour in pathetic performance! He then stormed out! It was a pleasure to see him banned from the pub this afternoon, arrogantly shouting, How much revenue they'ed loose! How the pub all clapped as he made his walk of Shame...... goodbye....Long Live the Rock?

beautiful cozy atmosphere, a warm welcome from the personal, friendly locals who drink around the bar, several families with children and dogs, intimate but casual atmosphere, small but much seating. the larkins beer was excellent, especially the green hop, kept in perfect condition, what a...treat, so hard to find a real pint today. good wine list. small but interesting menu, the bark meat pancake was unusual and very tasty, the fish chips were perfect and the homemade Scotch egg was great. we loved the quirky decor in the toilets. if they are used for the art and wise as pubs, they must try the rock

We finished a walk at this pub, and they had cleverly created an outside seating area from what was presumably their car park. The menu is quite limited, probably because of Covid, but all we wanted was a snack. We decided on the cheesy chips,...and expected to receive some ordinary fries with melted cheddar cheese on top of them. Well, we did not get what we expected! Instead, we were served with some beautiful home cut chips with a melted whole camembert and some lovely chutney as well. It was a good thing we were intending to share anyway as it was a generous portion and was absolutely delicious. We visited this place after a recommendation from The Castle Inn as their kitchen was closed already. We were greeted at the door, and we knew straight away the whole experience in this pub would be fantastic. As it was already late Sunday afternoon hours, their roast selection was limited, but we managed to get the last whole chicken roast with all the trimmings. It was a very good choice, and our family of 2 adults and 1 child had very generous portions.
