"we had booked a table for 7 people on Monday evening in this popular pub in the village wigginton. Unfortunately there were 9 of us, but the beautiful front of the house staff, mike gina, has our extra guests without fuss, despite the pub really busy. mike explained that there would be a slight delay in the food, as there was only one cook working on this evening. we appreciate his honesty, but the delay was very low and when the food arrived, it was hot, tasty and plentiful. mike, gina and matte, the cook, worked really hard all night and were pleasant, efficient and helpful."

"Updated Following a conversation with Millers, I am confident this was a one off experience. They were genuinely upset that I had had this experience and the passion and care that came across in that call makes me believe that this is not the usual standard of service. Travelled from Leeds to taste this well known fish and chip shops. Ordered both cod and haddock with chips and a bread cake. Price on the higher side I feel. We Watched a promo video before attending, I must say it was completely different to my expectations and not for the good! The fish was fried to order and the amount of oil on the fish was very excessive. The chips were cooked perfect. The mushy peas brilliant however, the curry sauce was very sweet and the gravy was like cement. The bread cake was stale and rock hard, wrapped in clingfilm and very small. The manager at the time lacked professionalism and direction to his younger team."

"I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant—it was the best Chinese food I've ever had! The menu offers a fantastic selection, and every meal was beautifully presented. "We went to The Parvin for an alternative family dinner. on Christmas Day. As a vegetarian, I should have realised that the £25 per head, buffet option was not good value for me personally as there was very limited choice of vegetarian dishes available and I should have ordered from the main menu and had freshly cooked food at a better price. I accept responsibility for not working that out but it would have been helpful if the waiter had brought this to my attention. To be fair, he did allow me to choose an additional veggie side dish to bulk up the abysmal buffet choice but I needn't have bothered as it was no better than the brussel sprout bhaji from the buffet. Did the chef honestly believe that this dish was a good idea? or was it some kind of Christmas joke? Overcooked brussel sprouts kept warm in a sauce all day are going to be sloppy and slimy which they were..........and this dish tasted every bit as bad as it looked. The meat-eaters in my party were equally disappointed in the turkey tikka masala which was their main dish option. I find it hard to believe that they had the cheek to serve any of the buffet dishes as part of a celebratory Christmas feast. The best thing about it was the rice which was fluffy and edible."

"The importance of good service cannot be overstated when dining out. During our visit to this restaurant, we experienced a few shortcomings in this area. After ordering our food, we were informed that we would need to request additional plates from the waitress, as the servers rotated. Our meals were placed on the table without any inquiry about sauce or condiments, and we were not asked if we wanted more drinks. The server appeared disinterested and did not engage with us, despite the loud ambiance requiring elevated voices to communicate. Attention to detail and making guests feel valued are key aspects of hospitality. The cheese board lacked butter and plates, necessitating a request for these items. Upon finishing our meal, we were promptly asked to vacate the table, even though there were numerous vacant tables and no waiting customers. While the food was tasty, the portion sizes left something to be desired - receiving only half a carrot, half a parsnip, and three potatoes felt insufficient. The side vegetables consisted of kale and courgette, with no cauliflower or broccoli in sight."
