great restaurant in a barn style. Very spacious. Great food. Reasonably priced. Attentive service. What more do you need

Tables covered in deep scratches and scuffs. Cheap beef passed off as fillet impossible to chew. Fish in fridges dry and old.

Had the roast beef, oh my the beef was so tender and flavourful, nice selection of veg including creamy cauliflower cheese, absolutely gorgeous meal, couldn't fault it

Had a wonderful Sunday roast, lamb and beef were lovely, with lovely roast potatoes and great mixture of veg. Very tasty gravy. The staff were very good and excellent service.

stay at the sandburn hall hotel and had two great breakfast, dinner and a afternoon tea here in tykes, all the staff were amazing and so friendly, eating was great at all places and great menu choices

excellent food and great service from all employees. we had Ponsh fish finger sandwiches. they were first class. fantastic views and atmospheric loads. a must for anyone who travels on a64 to scarborough, or anyone who is looking for a great lunch.

Had a great meal once again on New Year’s Eve. We both had cod for main and it was cooked to perfection and the mussels starter was perfect too. Excellent service as always. We stay at Griffin Forest so it’s great to have such a good restaurant just walking distance away. Will be returning again.

Came here for my boyfriends birthday and we had a wonderful time. They were kind enough to put a candle on his dessert, which was really appreciated! Food was incredible, I had the salmon and partner had the mixed grill, service was amazing, two young girls were both so lovely to us and atmosphere was lovely as well. Shame we don’t live closer as we would definitely be back if we did!!

We booked a table for evening meal and got the one we usually have.There did seem initially to be a lack of staff but eventually there were 3 staff on table duty.Unfortunately Paul is no longer there but has been made up to manager of the Sportsman bar within the complex.We had mussels and ham hock terrine,the latter very dry.Lamb shank,the meat fell off the bone,and mixed grill.Desserts were bread and butter pudding which was layered and soggy and lemoncelli mouse with raspberries.Overall it was pleasant but i can see why people have reservations when staff disappear for ages and leave you with dirty plates for long times.Very limited cafe type menu rather than previous restaurant menu.
