Lovely pub ,with very friendly people, the landlady pat is a lovely lady , and so helpfull and friendly. We stayed overnight in our motorhome in the pub carpark. Will definitely go back . Wow what an experience. we have just celebrated our golden wedding anniversary with a party. Everything was first class, lovely welcoming atmosphere, splendid buffet. We had our staff Christmas party at this restaurant for the second year in a row. Despite there being 25 of us, all of our food was excellent. It was served very hot and presented beautifully. This restaurant is a lovely hidden gem. I went for lunch on a Friday and received a warm welcome. The food was top-notch, with generous portions and exceptional value. The chips were the best I have ever had. Overall, it would have been a 5-star experience, but unfortunately, the puddings arrived barely lukewarm. The landlady had a pleasant, no-fuss manner in sorting this out. The replacement puddings were warmer but still not properly hot and lacked the pretty plate dressing. Despite this, both puddings were generous and delicious. I would recommend this place and will definitely be back. Ver carta
